Brought home Panasonic 42X20D

Need urgent help.

Folks, I am almost finalized on 42x20D and panny brandshop in Bangalore is quoting 39K on that. My requirements are the following:

- Primarily TV viewing via Hathway digital
- Viewing distance 8.5 ft (straight) to 12 ft (diagonal)
- Want to watch DVDs (Rips, 'roadside' stuff and originals) once in a while - no BD plan yet
- Plans to buy a Wii for my son soon

I want to know if 42X20D is the so called HD ready model. Can I use it for the next 2-3 years without any trouble? What's your ownership experience with gaming and playing back SD digital channels via ST box?

Your immediate reply is appreciated. I am planning to buy it tomorrow itself (please excuse any technical ignorance lol)

Thanks all for providing the details on this great model. I got :lol: Panasonic 42X20D at 33,250/ from Croma-Jayanagar, Bangalore. Since its out of stock I will be getting it delivered it on 16th Jan. I hope its a good price.
Actually I went to purchase Plasma /LCD for my friend. Last minute my friend changed his mind as one of his friends told dont buy plasma its risky... Since the price was lucrative I jumped in.

For 2 yrs extended warranty they have given forms to be posted to panasonice office. Hope it will work. I think I missed UCB glasses and other gift which was mentioned earlier, I didnt enquired about it.

Need few details care to be taken in first 150 hrs?
eagerly waiting for it have to wait till 16th JAN? Long wait... Planning to buy onkyo HTS3300 again thanks to this forum, till then will be connecting my 2.1 altec lansing speakers ..
