We are getting our house constructed for 1275 Rs / sft.
The cost depends on what is offered by the builder and on the materials used.
^^ Without anamorphic lense, combination of lens shift and projector zoom is the only way I guess. I am not an expert on this (yet!) but correct me if I am wrong ... that is also the main deciding factor when choosing a projector.
Which ration is best 2.35:1 or 16:9?
I am afraid its not that simple ..... lots of movies are 16:9 format as well. (infact TV is not 16:9 in india only HD channels, and we all know how many HD channels we have) So if he decides to go for 2.35:1 and play a 16:9 movie, what will happen, black bars on top and bottom of the screen .....
there are other factors as well, but that might go beyond the scope of this thread ....
As 2.35:1 is wider than 16:9, I think the black will come on the sides and not on top and bottoms of the screen.
That is because 2.35:1 is equivalent to 21.15 : 9
Long time no posts, anyways the updates that should be in this thread is my ceiling mount and UPS. A brand called zippo brought from ebay at Rs. 900 and had a Rs. 200 off coupon. Effective price R. 700, sturdly built and rotates 360 as well as up and down motion.
UPS is APC 1100 for the projector alone. Cost me Rs. 5500.
Current state with the UPS added...
Wow..this is nice..A neatly done and superb setup
BTW did you do anything to the door hitting the surround problem..
