Building a dedicated HT room on the terrace

Outside plastering is going on Swamy, will post a picture soon... in the meantime, I have picked up the Panasonic BDT 220 Blueray player.

My speaker search continued and I have kind of fixed on one set, will give details soon after I fix the deal.

You're topic title has probably got everyone thinking  Generally, we'd have to use the space in the bedroom for HT stuff if living in joint families because the rest of the family get into those annoying serials. So why not use the terrace if you have it rather than cramping stuff into the bedroom :)

Congratz Prem :clapping: Where did u get it and plz share the price ??

Yes Oli, and when you have kids at home, you are stuck with cartoons and when they are asleep, you cannot play the music loud... all these made me think of this plan, this room can also be doubled up as a guest bedroom.

I am planning to add a proper sofa cum bed... this will serve a dual purpose.

great buy..a great buy indeed...this is rare model..hahahaha..no i mean it..found it nowhere...(even online..after ordering the order cancelled saying out of stock).and settled for 490..

Panasonic was brought from the Burma bazaar here for Rs. 8500. Originally quoted 8.8K, got it at 8.5K finally.

Yeah Prem worth the buy. Prosenjit was right, even i was searching for this model in Chennai.. They arehaving BDP 230 for 10-11K with warranty and our burma bazaar don have panasonic blu ray.. They deal sony and pioneer

Prem, for the seating i recommend you use proper recliners and not this sofa-cum-bed. I put a sofa-cum-bed in my HT and it is good for half hour but after that your back starts aching. I also feel more discomfort the next day. Not good for long hours at all. I have seen some good recliners (3 seaters) at Reliance LIfe in Mantri mall for very reasonable prices. Do consider it. See my so called sofa-cum-bed here http://www.hifivision.com/home-thea...erience-setting-up-my-projector-screen-2.html Looks good but not good for your back for long hours.

Hi Sash, yes I do agree recliners are the best for this application, but I have the need to add a bed up there for some extra guests. I have kind of finalized this sofa cum bed, it is made of fabric and looks good. I may also add 2 single seat recliners...

cool, don't forget to use the coupon codes on pepperfry....getting 20 percent or so on registration is quite common. Also search the web, there are plenty of codes.

The denon 1713 at 28k sounds good, where did you get that price?

Thanks Oli, yes I have a 20% off code. This weekend, we have the Times Furniture Expo in Bangalore, I will visit there and then take a call on the purchase from Pepperfry.

About the Denon, it is from a local dealer in Bangalore. He advised me not to put his name in the forum, if anyone needs please PM me.
