Can we have a blind test on speaker cables? I always wondered whether the speaker cables worth the cost. I can understand the difference between 14awg and 24awg cables in long runs. But, not the pricy short 0.5m cables .

Hi friends, since either me or the 'Initiator' Musicmaya are out of town, we could not finalise the date and venue. I spoke to him yesterday and he is expected back by the weekend. He did a lot of ground work, of organising participation of dealers, roping in an expert and also, the venue near his place in Egmore where the charges are Rs. 450/- including NV food. Apparently, the expert is not available up to 22nd Jan. Hence he proposed a date after that. Hence we now propose the fresh date as 29th Jan.

I did some groundwork and we are getting a hall in a 3 star Hotel in Nungambakkam for Rs. 350 per person including veg food; minimum guaranteed figure is 20 participants; if any less, they would charge flat 7500/-

Our FM Mikehcm who volunteered to chip in with efforts:clapping: too did some ground work; There is a school in Vepery and they are willing to let out their auditorium for Rs. 2500/- Food needs to be organised separately.

Suggestions are welcome.

BTW, good news for all. In all probability, Acoustic Portrait would formally introduce their Pre and Power amps and their tube DAC in the meet. We are in talks with them to part sponsor the meet.
