That suggestion was for Sri134, not you
That suggestion was for Sri134, not you
I went to reliance digital today(at another location)...unfortunately they didn't had LG for the demo.
Anyways I was always preferring Sony from the beginning. So, finally I have bought Sony KDL-42W800. Getting it delivered tomorrow and installation not possible until I'm free from my office. Can't wait for it to be setup.
Can anyone please suggest me which DTH service provides better?
Airtel Digital TV sales person was in the store at the time, after checking for all the channels I require the package totals at 7000/Year(Provided with 15 HD Channels).
I'm completely noob when it comes to DTH services. Please please suggest me some more DTH services.
Thanks.
You can take AIRTEL with your eyes closed (PERIOD)hyeah:
If budget permits then go for HD-DVR
Ya looks like I'll go with that one. That 7k above includes the STB of 3k. So it's just 4K/year. I'm not sure if DVR is required as of now.
Thanks.
As you spent so much on TV, its totally worth taking a HD DVR.. Trust me it will change your TV viewing experience. So is your TV installed?:licklips:
Sony has provided the new youtube interface like the one I have in my panny.
I tested the interface on hx850 with my smart phone.
You can have a low end android smartphone to sync with the tv and youtube. Its as simple as scanning a code displayed by the tv when you open the youtube interface.
Once you scan the code on tv with your android phone, youtube will pair the sony tv and your phone. Now you can type a video on the mobile and youtube plays it on your tv.
You don't need a keyboard for that.
So, that need not be your concern. Such features are enough to make sony a smart tv. I don't think you meant gesture controls when you said sony 800 will be a flop because it does not have smart features. Right?
Regarding PQ I don't know how one can change a couple of settings and make a picture improve to make lg look like sony!!!
Anyways. I think your requirement is 2d to 3d and that might have been the game changer for you.
And by the way sony 800 may not be a flop because it couldn't do a 2d to 3d conversion better. I think it fairly does the job of an excellent display.
I am eager to take a demo of la6910 and see what is really so great about it.
Best Regards.
Hi Shrey,
I agree that with this set LG has done really well with all the features and PQ.
Were you able to demo any sports channel while you were at the store? As I already mentioned I was able to see the blur effect on HD sports channel and also color peeling. Pity that I was not given a remote to play around with settings on LG.
So by changing settings if you can make these defects disappear then you should go with LG as you are more interested in 3D & 2D to 3D.
As the saying goes ... Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. If you like LG over Sony, then go for it. Or vice versa. Everyone will have individual likes and tastes.
haha not yet.....It's right next to me...delivered in the evening while I was at work.
Will leave the unpacking stuff to professionals ... still can't wait seeing it in cozy box. It's tempting...though i'll have to wait
My TV got setup yesterday evening. The W800is simply awesome. I didnt do any changes to settings. Watching it out of the box without any problem. Just cant stop watching.
Plugged in my 2TB External HDD whch have about 20 1080p movies, playing them without any problem. Even 720 and regular standard movies are amazing to watch on it. Superb smoothness, crispnesss and colors. Perfect for me.
3D is same as in LG.
Except 2D to 3D is really bad.
Anyways no regrets for me as I'm gonna get all the 3D movies in 1080p.
Shrey,
I would suggest you to get LG for better 2D to 3D.
For me I dont need advance features or apps, I was looking for a TV not a PC
