Digital video recorder

Hi all,

After the VCR, Iam pretty much left helpless for recording tv programmes.
Can anybody suggest some good DVR/PVR and where I can buy. Iam based in Chennai. Can anybody tell me their experiences with their DVR/PVR?

I have a stb at home and would like to have a basic recorder much like the VCR for recording TV programmes without any frills...
