Keith,

POM gives a glossy fine finish. It is not soft but is tough. It is not brittle either. So need not be concerned about developing cracks.

We machine components using the same material for some fastidious Customers in Healthcare Industry and believe me it appears like a work of art !

One could also consider Black PET material which is harder that POM and yields more matt finish but also more brittle.

Why do you think you came to mind when I was wondering about machining the knobs? The ports on your MLTL was exactly that - a work of art :)

OK, then we will have to take a call on whether we want a gloss or matt finish.
I vote for MATT!

Jayant, how about using Nylon [the same as your ports] - I like the feel of Nylon :D I guess even fingernails would scratch it, right?
 
I have received the dimensions of the PCB's from Sachin. The drawing is based on that dimensions. If somebody can provide me the mounting hole dimensions of the transformer i can include that too.



Please let me know if it requires any change in the arrangement of the PCBs.

Bibin, Great effort!

Please move that phono stage to extreme right, away from transformer and power supply. Also source selector near the input RCA, Other boards looks correct to me. [Even position of r-core and PS board could be exchanged.]

Last year I drawn diagrams for magma. it is here. Please see these has marking for r-core transformer which is same order now repeated for us.

It seems 60mmX70mm and 25mm space lengthwise and 10-12mm sidewise for its body and space for IEC socket or any other nearby connection.
Edit: just now I verified it and its correct. Also hole could be 4mm

I think Sachin is providing the potentiometer to the GB members. The pot i have used is an imported one with round shaft (dia more than 6mm).

Can you please provide the details of the Pot?

I think a slightly oversized dia. on the knob than the shaft dia. maybe fine. Wrapping teflon tape over the shaft should ensure a nice fit.
