Fans of Television Series

Agents of S.H.E.A.L.D ..... well even I recorded the same, infact put it on series record. I had high expectations from the series, and the start was good, not that I was blown off or something, but my expectations were almost met. It was engaging and the plot in all probability will shape up good in next episodes. I didnt know the series is created and directed by my current fav director Joss Weadon This has raised interest for me.
Effects what as good as any high class movie, though the first episode didnt have much to show. It was more of a plot builder. .....I am not rating this series yet .......looking forward to next episodes.

I have almost the same feeling after watching the pilot. Not on Tata Sky...our usual way :-)
It wasn't a great and explosive start though, but I liked The Avengers pretty much; so I hope this show also gonna do good in further episodes.
But IMDB and wiki shows only 3 episodes for season 1... is it gonna be this short?
I tried 'The BlackList' as well, and its pilot looked disappointing to me...very well predicted and I didn't find nothing new after watching lot many movies and shows like Following on similar themes. I'll wait for ratings on further episodes for this and then decide if it's worth watching!!

I have watched few more new TV shows in last 2 months.
The Americans S1, Rectify S1, Broadchurch (MiniSeries), The Fall S1, Fringe S1, Orphan Black S1, 24 S1, Foyle's War S1 etc.
Will update about them in detail a little later!!

Just one more word... If you haven't watched 'Broadchurch' so far...do watch it before you know the spoilers... It's a miniseries based on a murder mystery. Beautifully shot and well executed despite its little slowness. Its soundtrack is also mesmerizing!! Seems like I have got a love feeling for British shows after watching The Fall, Broadchurch and Foyle's War :-)

Broadchurch looks interesting .......... trying to get this one ... :)

Sleepy Hollow ..... wow this was good. The best SE01E01 of all the TV series that I have given a try on SW Premier HD , including SHIELD and Blacklist. I just loved trhe concept, usually I am not a fan of evil, demonic stories with ghosts, spirits, supernatural stuff, but this, I dont know somehow seems different. The performances were spot on, good amount of thrill with protagonist confusion in the future adding the much needed humor. Looking forward to the show.

I saw a few episodes of Veep yesterday. Quite funny stuff - Office style humor but in a political context. Nice satire.

You should watch the first few seasons of Supernatural... before they introduced angels and the series took the wrong direction.

It was totally entertaining and you get to see what forms of evil different cultures battle.

About the English classics once again: have you heard of new TV series Dracula with Johnattan Rhys-Meyers?

If you dont mind Shelock Holmes deviating from "specs"
Try Elementary..i thought Season 1 was brilliant

Thanks for letting us know about this. I had put this into my watchlist few months back, but forgot completely.
This looks interesting, Sherlock in an American Avatar...will give it a try :)

Now, time to say few final words on Breaking Bad...
After having a continuous watching of this show till the first half of its 5th and final season... (I started watching it in December 2012 and couldn't stop till the latest available episodes by that time.)
Then it felt like an halt in life because makers of this show made the viewers awaited for long time for the last 8 episodes.
I started watching its final run starting 11th August on a weekly basis and today was the season finale.
Finally an epic saga ends with smashing grand finale. Breaking Bad ends with a completely satisfying finale and I'm gonna miss this show a lot!!
Without any doubt and prejudice, Breaking Bad is The Best TV show I have ever watched!!! Walter White and Jessy Pinkman will remain in my heart forever :)

Disclaimer:If you become a fan of this show; some of your friends & colleagues may accuse you of having a love or an association with drugs or similar bad stuff!!
When it happened to me, I told them harshly "Smoking Marijuana, eating cheetos and mas****ba***g do not constitute plans in my book."...one of the famous Walter White quote from the show

Has any one seen The Stand .....Post-apocalypse being my fav subject when it comes to TV series or movies, I am intrigued by this one ...... any one here ????

An unequivocal thumbs up to Elementary. Among the television series that I found absolutely riveting, I would put Newsroom, Game Of Thrones, and Elementary up there. Season 2 just started, and I have to say that it seems to get even better, albeit with more of a human touch and not just analytical/cold crime solving stuff. Loved the episode of Mycroft.

P.S. Check out The Blacklist as well. A bit more "commercial" than the others, but extremely slick and high budget production, and extremely well edited (think 24) - in fact it rivals many big budget movies. I lap up stuff like the Jason Bourne series and spy / international crime/political conspiracy stuff and this is right up there with the good movies. And of course, if you have watched Boston Legal, you cannot but help watching The Blacklist. James Spader is just awesome at what he does.

Must watch season 1 especially the take on moriarty.. Absolutely stupendous. Adds layers of character to Holmes makes him human

Breaking Bad ...... After technobhatt's comment I became ever so curios to give BB a try, not that I had not read BB's liking in various other forums, I just for some reason could not find enough curiosity to start it. Well yesterday I did, and today I am on second season 4th episode ...:D ..... BB is seriously one unique show with its many levels of intricate character study, along with realistic situations gone bad that makes a perfectly good common human being screwed, very much what made HOMELAND my best ever show. The plot details are immaculate and character depth is spectacular, again just like HOMELAND.
Once thing that BB has over HOMELAND is the Humor part,..... let me tell BB has Dry humor at its best .. there were few scenes where I was laughing out loud and the entire scene was as dead as it can be and I was like, how can they even achieve this ......like that dialogue ........ I think SE02, EP02 .... when walter is missing and all are having the most serious discussion on table......... Hank says to pregnant Skyler ...."For christsake, you gotta bun in the oven" .......:D :D hehe lol..

Anyway, its a solid 7.8/10 for this one till se02 ep04 ..........

Nice writing again Sam...Good to know...you are liking BB :)
Just carry on like this and there is hell lot of dark humour or black comedy on the way... the transformation or I'd say the development of the characters and unpredictability keeps the viewers intrigued...
Also, for fun... give yourself one or two days break after a season and try to guess the next season plotline or try to come around some guesses who will go what way... I did that between season 3 and 4...we two friends thought of few things to be happening in a way...that never happened....
Then, there was a seven month break between first half and second half of season 5...I went and read a lot of comments of fans into the Facebook page of BB...(But you don't that now, because spoilers are around, don't even type breaking bad on Google; it's dangerous for new BB viewers)
There were thousand of guesses I came across...but....
I can say almost nobody could break Vince Gilligan's mind :clapping:

Yeah, breaking bad is definitely a must watch show. Btw, if by the time you finish the first part of season 5 (it was split in two parts) and the second part is not yet available on netflix, simply switch to netflix uk. They have the second part of the final season available there already.

How do you switch to netflix uk, usually i watch stuff on netflix US only. Is their something specific you need to do on the media player. I used WD tv live.

hey guys.. I have been a fan of Dexter and have watched all the seasons... What do you people watch these series on? Cuz it makes a hell of a difference to watch them on a laptop compared to when you watch them on a big size LED TV!!

For excellent sound that won't break the bank, the 5 Star Award Winning Wharfedale Diamond 12.1 Bookshelf Speakers is the one to consider!
