Endeavor is quite possibly the best Brit detective TV series I have seen. This is about Inspector Morse (itself, a very good TV series) when he was starting his career as a novice. The story line, pace, mystery level and intrigue are in a class of their own, and actually quite a bit better than Inspector Morse itself!

Another non-British suggestion:

Please please see Marco Polo. I'm not much of a history TV show person, but this one is unputdownable. And more than anything, I really didn't know that Marco Polo led such an interesting life.
 
well... if we are talking of Brit series, I would definitely recommend Survivors ..... the human extinction is done for like zillions times but this brit take was well done and presented, decently directed but most of all kept me intrigued all along .....
 
Blacklist Season 3 is rocking with new mysteries and history uncovering every episode. Suits season 5 should also be back in a day or two after their mid season break eagerly waiting for that
 
Just finished 5 episodes of Mad Dogs(US). Shaping our really good so far. 4 friends visit their millionaire friend in the exotic country of Belize in central America for a reunion. What follows is completely bizarre incidents from murder to drug gang lords chasing them & the hilarious situations they get involved is fun to watch. The sight & sound of Belize is breathtaking. The story is completely like a blind alley, you keep guessing just like the characters in the show. Also available on Amazon Prime. I think it's also premiered on Colours Infiniti in India a few days back. Mad Dogs

Justified - Season 2 ... just finished season 2 and another not to disappoint finale. Justified is like slow poison with poison being the tension and drama here. Its given to you drop by drop .... slow and steadily ... I loved that. The uncanny Kentucky accent adds to the ambiance. Timothy oliphant is just amazing as the US martial. Looking forward for the third season .....
 
Just ordered Arrow - complete season 1 to 3 bluray from Amazon.co.uk. Rs 3380/- . Contains 12 discs. Hope to receive it by Feb 11 thru standard delivery.

Boss, it is bluray region free format having 12 discs having a total of 69 episodes with additional features from season 1 to 3. From Amazon India, the dvd itself costs 3999/- whereas in UK bluray goes for 34.95 incl tax and during check out it will be 29.45 excluding txt as tax is not applicable in uk for sales to other countries, or at least to India.

Waiting for the price to fall from 59.95 for prison break season 1 to 4

Its not much about the price ..... I think Arrow was not that a great show to spend anything above 500 Bucks, that too if 4K is available ....hehe :D ...But thats ok .... As one wise guy said .. "Each to its own ...:)"

Yes, I agree that it all comes to one's personal taste. Also the rating. All super heroes series based on comics characters can be watched along with the family. For me the hero of arrow, batman are all normal persons without supernatural power like Spider-Man, superman and even flash.

And ther are some highly rated series like Spartacus and game of thrones which can be enjoyed but not with your family members. Especially Spartacus have more of graphic violence and sex almost equal to Softporn. Have to take care utmost care when u watch series that are rated 18+

Justified - Season 3 ....... wowo the finale was even more tense than the previous season. Remember that slow poison I was talking about in my last justified post, well make it 5 times stronger in season 3. Just loves SE03. More gripping tenser than both the previous installments. I don't recall any TV series wherein I actually felt the tension running across my spines every time there was a gun drawn on screen ...lol ....
Off to season 4 ... :) ... safe to provide a 7.2/10 rating for this one
