Hathway goes HD in Bangalore??

Hope 2013 brings some good news due to digitization in all the other cities. I was wondering if this would cause the price of cable subscription to change. I generally pay half yearly and was wondering if I should pay only till March for the time being.

Does anyone in the metros have any feedback about whether or not digitization has made any impact to the viewer either in terms of QoS or pricing?
 
Package price will increase. Check this link :: hathw@y :: to find packages in Delhi and Mumbai. I wanted to pay in advance but my cable operator asked me to pay only till March as package prices are going to change from April if digitization happens on time in Bangalore.
 
Thanx for the link. I guess HD channels would not be available as a-la-carte as they seem to always bunch them into one set.

One lingering doubt I've always had about a-la-carte was how do they manage the system. Is it computerized so that we can login and add or remove channels weekly or monthly? Even in DTH, how is the system managed...
 
Not sure about other DTHs but in Tata Sky you can login and add or delete a la carte channels. I guess in hathway you need to prepare the list of channels and call the customer care or give it to your cable operator.
 
In Tata Sky does it reflect the change real time? I mean, if we select a channel does it become available to view immediately or the same day? This would be the only benefit of such a-la-carte packs, which would enable us to subscribe to specific channels only when we feel the need. Otherwise, the so called "Mega" packs would make better sense.

Yes, as soon as you add a channel, you can view it immediately.
 
Ten Sports has also been re-added. Hope Ten Action and Ten Cricket arent far behind.

BTW I know there has always been a little confusion between Ten Action and Ten Action+. We in Bangalore used to get Ten Action+. And I've seen screenshots proving they are 2 different channels. I believe Ten Action+ may have been closed. Is there any truth to this?
 
Iam getting this msgs in all HD channels from yesterday " this service is blocked (4) "
SD channels are working fine Anybody facing this issues in HYD.

Please let me know the call center number for HD

Even I m facing same issue in mumbai.While inquiring Hathway people says I ll hv to pay Rs.2250 for HD package for one year as my HD box is one year old..:(:(

HMM I thought so but 2250 is very high. For me my box is 10 months old :mad:
and there is no proper support here.Apart from it Iam not under a cable operator ets see what happens.

10 months it should be because the seller mst have given me 2 months old box to me.

Anyhow as per now not much interested in HD will take casually for it.

Today I paid the fees of Rs.2250/- and all HD channels started working..:-)

If 2250 for HD
2400 for SD (200 PM customer with LCO)
-------
4650 ( 387 per month)

So Its equal ant to full package of DTH .Also DTH sends offer for annual recharge recently they offered recharge for 12 months and get 6 months free.

Does this 2400 include internet ? I remember the guy told me 1 year internet with the box but my connection was through LCO was unable to connect the Internet

Somebody plz update: Does the Hathway HD box gives 5.1 sound thru HDMI or I will have connect its spdif optical connection to AVR ?
