Hathway goes HD in Bangalore??

I just checked these channels and they are fine for me. It appears that this may be only for you.

Yeah, in terms of customer service, Hathway isnt very professional. They dont give any reference/complaint number but in my experience my local office usually solves any issues in 1-3 days.

The channels are fine here too. May be the issue is because of non submission of CAF? Try calling 080-67151515 and see if they can help you.

Got the information that 4 regional HD channels(SUN HD channels) will be added by 10th January. 3 will be Tamil and 1 Telugu HD channel.

Even the SD channels count will be increased to 300+ by January 10th if everything goes as planned.

Thats good news. Wonder if there are plans for the Trace HD channels to be added as well.

New SD channels are slowly being added over the last few weeks and months. Nat Geo Wild SD was added a while ago.

I really doubt Trace HD channels will ever be added. I was told that, at least for the time being, only 4 HD channels will be added and they are going to be regional HD channels.

I hope they bring back Travel XP HD soon as well as hope that they add Romedy Now+ HD

I dont see any new channels as mentioned till now. Is there any one else seeing it with their connections

They haven't been added yet. Looks like they need some more time to add the channels.

I dont see any HD channels for the last few days. Even the channels from 350 onwards are not even selectable. Anybody facing this issue? the HD program list is blank.

It is 2200 for 1 year or 600 for 3 months or 1200 for 6 months

My local cable guy had come yesterday to collect the fee for the regular "SD only" subscription. I asked him if there would be any change in the fees/process as we saw the channel selection form online. He wasnt aware of it and gave the generic reply that some changes are happening due to digitization and it would take effect later in the year.

I paid him as I usually do, Rs. 1500 for 6 months for SD channels.

LCOs don't have any idea about what is happening at MSO end. Even at MSO end, only few people know what is happening and getting hold of such people is very difficult. So, getting the right information is very difficult. They working towards increasing the capacity of number of channels. Hopefully, 300+ channels will added very soon.

That is very true. Just out of curiosity, how many channels are we getting in Bangalore now?

As of yesterday 220 SD channels + 27 HD channels + 8 radio channels + 2 Games channels

220 to 300+ is quite a jump! I can think of only a handful of channels which we dont receive in Bangalore...

Finally, the work on additions of channels has started. They have rearranged all the channels as part of this work. Looks like new channels will be added soon.

Saw the reshuffling of channels (yet again!). Not sure why they need to do this frequently. Arent the systems sophisticated enough to be able to handle changes without inconveniencing customers.

I believe the prices will also go up sharply after the "packages/al-a-carte" system comes into force.

Hope all this will be worth it.

I am told that the channels which are there now are permanent positions. No more reshuffling. It also means we need to get used to these new numbers.
