Channels added are mostly Hindi entertainment, Hindi movie channels, Kids channels and some songs and other channels. I guess interesting one is &pictures as it has many new movies library.

There are SD versions of Nat Geo Adventure (soon to be renamed to Nat Geo People), Baby TV, Nat Geo Music, UTV Stars. Loads of news channels and movie channels that were missing in the past, especially from the Zee network. Also, Zee Khana Khazana.

Looks like the free trial period of Star World Premiere HD is now over. It must now be a subscriber-only channel.

No problems with tunes hd audio today morning.
Also, HBO Defined Hd is working again on channel 548

Thanks Canchi. I didn't check today. Till yesterday the sound was distorted in dloby mode. Pcm option was giving the correct sound.

Yes, I noticed that, using the PCM option sound is clean . On Dolby mtunes and one other Hd channel was giving out distorted sound two wks ago and that was when I switched to PCM

Star World Premiere HD is also viewable now, along with HBO Defined HD. Does anyone know if this is a temporary glitch or have these channels become available permanently?

There was a message pop up yesterday which said with effect from 1.4.2014, all Star Sports channels would cease to be part of any package and would be available only on an A-la-carte basis. Very bad move

Bad move indeed. Need to find out if this is initiated by Hathway or if its a decision from Star.

Is this going to apply to subscribers of other other cable/DTH operators also?

Star Sports channels are A La Carte in Mumbai and Delhi already.

Star Sports has filed a compliant with TDSAT for making star sports channels A La Carte.

In another case filed by Star Sports against the MSO, the sports broadcaster has claimed that in the DAS phase I cities of Mumbai and Delhi, Hathway Cable has been violating the regulatory process by removing Star Sports out of its channel packs and placing them as a la carte without reducing the pack price or substituting the channels. It claims that the MSO is charging additional money for adding the channels above the pack.
This case will come up for hearing on 19 March. TDSAT has already asked Hathway Cable to file an affidavit showing that it is complying with the regulations, the number of subscribers who have requested Star Sports and the number of subscribers for whom Star Sports has been activated.
