Is the sd channels count same for HD box and a normal SD box?

At my place more than 100 SD channels are more for Hd custmers

Can others confrim

I mean whatever you get in HD box, you get in SD box too. Only channels missing in SD box are HD channels.

No you missed my point

We ar getting 100 SD channels extra on a HD Box.Those channels are missing in a SD Box.

Only CISCO SD box those channels are shown in the list but blocked

I think my sentence caused some confusion. I was saying, in Bangalore, channels which are on HD box and SD box are same.

I think either Cisco box has a problem or they will add channels in SD box soon.

Yes you are right, they might me switching on the channels box wise.

Competition makes service better as hathway was stingy in adding channels.

As IN Digital & Digi Cable pumped in 500 channels they were forced to add channels here

Yesterday evening, my HD STB became completely unresponsive. When I pressed any button on the remote, the LED on the box was blinking (showing that the signal was received). However, the channels werent changing nor was the menu showing. But the channel that was on was playing as normal.

After switching off the power and switching it back on, I noticed a message "Dynamic Update in progress..." for less than 5 seconds and then the box started and is now working normally. I checked the Software version and it reads 109. Is this new?

I didnt notice anything new nor any new channels.

It is on 109 for very long. "Dynamic update" is to update the EPG with ads.

I read on another forum that Sony Pix HD has been added on Hathway in Hyderabad. I wasnt even aware that they had launched the HD version until I saw the promo during the World Cup.

On a side note, have there been any other recent HD channel launches which anyone are aware of? Star World Premiere HD the newest one I can think of...

I spoke to Hathway people at Bangalore but don't have any idea about pix HD nor know the date of availability ...only you people are lucky ones.!!!

Very few people from Hathway seem to have clear information about such things.

I'm sure most subscribers would have now received information regarding the new channel packages. My local guy suggested to take the Vajra pack as it includes all channels we are currently receiving and (apparently) all the Star Sports SD channels will be reinstated into this pack.

I wanted to know what others have been told regarding this.

I have paid up for 1 year, till Dec 2014. The HD star sports channels have been removed obviously along with the 2 hbo ones and star premiere, but I get all other channels as earlier. The star sports SD channels are made available from time to time, currently 1 and 2 are available!

In my HD STB, for HD channels the volume set to 0 doesnt've any effect i still get loud audio. Anyone facing this strange issue with HD channels (only HD, SD audio is fine)?

Yeah, I too have noticed that Star Sports SD the channels come and go depending upon the importance of the sporting event. Utterly ridiculous!

No particular package, these were the days of " all channels" yearly package. And the afore mentioned hd channels were removed thereafter, much to my dismay, have discussed that in this same thread about 3 months ago.......
