Hathway goes HD in Bangalore??

In my HD STB, for HD channels the volume set to 0 doesnt've any effect i still get loud audio. Anyone facing this strange issue with HD channels (only HD, SD audio is fine)?

Try toggling between the PCM and Dolby options on the audio settings of the set top box, you can reach this from menu - settings - user setup - audio.

Recently I Paid Rs 4750 for new HD set top box and new connection with 1year HD subscription for. 25 HD channels...6 HD channels like star sports 1&2, star ptemier HD, HBO Hits& defined, need to be subscribed sepetately which is another 2000 for annual subscription..so totally new HD connection for 1 year is 6750...dont forget my LCO is collecting 230 per month!!!

Hi,
I bought a new Hathway HD STB, afterfew hours Envelop icon glows red on the front panel. Anyone know the reason for this and how to overcome that red glow light ( First light Green, Second for IR signal and the third one Envelop Icon)

It just means there is a message. To read it press message button on your remote. Once you read the message, that indicator turns off.

Sorry I could not find any message button on my remote, ( its a new HD STB) Please let me know how to access the message.

is it possible to update stb or is it the latest release?

I have searched the threads here and tried the code 2465 by pressing 4 times back button (2 times back button not working) but screen shows Downloading software ... STB waits for signal and goes on forever. I have tried many times and the result remains the same. Any input on this.....

I am not sure what is the latest version on new HD STB, but if the screen shows downloading software and nothing is downloaded, it means you are on the latest version.

You don't have to install the software manually. It will be installed automatically whenever the new software is available.

Investigation Discovery has been added in Bangalore. Strangely, it is not grouped along with the other non-fiction channels and it has hindi audio! Hope they rectify this ASAP.

I didnt even know ID had launched in India. If I'm not mistaken, Discovery received permission to launch ID, Home & Health and Military Channel. Perhaps, these might also launch soon.

I believe I was incorrect. I Googled a bit and found some news items that MSM plan to launch TLC HD and Animal Planet HD.

Funnily, it looks like Investigation Discovery has been launched as a Hindi entertainment channel! They said they are trying to redefine the Hindi entertainment genre. I find this hilarious and hope that they at least put English audio as an option.

Has anyone subscribed to Star Sports 1 & 2 HD? If yes, please post the details of the price, subscription duration etc. Also, how many days after informing/paying the amount did you start receiving the channel?

I'm looking to start subscribing around mid-August, in time for the start of the English football season.

It is about Rs205 per month for both the channels. If you known the person who activates, it will be activated immediately

I think you can go for it. The only problem is, you need to pay extra for Star Sports HD1 and HD2. Transfer of connection shouldn't be an issue.

Please check with you all, have you getting sound in Z studio HD and Discovery world HD channels in Hathway ? I have checked with local cable operator, he said problem with hathway signal itself, is this true? please let me know.
