26% off MRP - that is a good deal. However, the 4% freight addition seems to be a back door way of reducing the discount to 22%. Why not give the option to the customer to pick it up at the distributor's office?

Anyway, I gather that the most popular items are all mostly out of stock - helps control the temptation

I hope at least some HFV members get SonoDyne equipment in this offer and post detailed reviews (with photos) - there is a serious lack of info regarding their amps & speakers. I never got to even see (forget about auditioning) a SonoDyne amp or speaker in Hyd when I was looking to buy last year.

The price of spa 202,I think is along with spa 203r preamp.I don't know how it is available as SONODYNE in Kolkata has no such stock.Close your eyes and go for it if Bangalore office can get you one.

The price of the speakers are not in pairs, but per piece.
You can get the products from Kolkata by paying through their HDFC account and arrange your own delivery.No problem

SONODYNE charges 4% freight and they send it through TRAKON couriers.

Called up the Bangalore office and asked them about the preamp (SP 203r). The guy at the other end told me it has been discontinued and tried to sell me a mixer (IIRC, 2311 or some number like that). When I told him I wanted a preamp and not a mixer, he started asking question like 'What are you going to use it for?' and 'How many devices do you want to connect?'

An off putting experience, considering I really want a preamp and would have loved to pick up the SP 203r.

It reminds me of what happened with me yesterday though unrelated.
It was close to 10pm and realised I had exhausted all the milk at home.
And needed to stock up for this morning or else the better half would throw a fit
Anyway I headed down to the local grocery shop and asked for Amul Milk Tetrapack. This is what he replies.

Yes , we all got a "No reply" "No Stock" "No discount on model" and "Not in production" responses from Sonodyne.

I happended to check with the Sonodye Kolkata and the discount was indeed on till 29th. It was a Kolkata only sale it seems.

Yes true. I got the offer on all the items. I was interested in a SW, but then didn't like the sound. May be due to the fault of the guys in the listening room. They were reluctant to play with the position of the sub and change the SW from one amp to another. In that way how can one test a product!

Wish for Sonodyne, the salesman be as good as the engineers behind the scene.
