The lps being discussed here are not available new. They have to be purchased used. There are used lp vendors in Mumbai, Delhi. I am sure you will find them in Kolkatta too.

No it is not. The Anubhav that I refer to is a 1971 Hindi film directed by Basu Bhattacharya.

No need to have a MYOCARDIAL INFRACTION doc (as u call it).....
Shekhar Suman wala ANUBHAV had music by RAJESH ROSHAN, with songs by LATA and ASHA.....

Also u would know better than me that there are loads of crappy, low budget, bold, unbearable, flop and sleazy movies which had AMAZING soundtracks......

Actually doc, whenever a new music director had to make an entry into the music world with greats like Dada Burman, Naushad sahab, Shankar-Jaikishan had already established a BIG name for themselves; they invariably had to start with such crappy, low budget and/or sleazy movies....
it happened to the greats like Nayyar sahab, Madan Mohan, Pancham, Rajesh Roshan and even to great singers like ASHAji.......

When Nayyar sahab approached Lata didi for his first movie, and even didi wanted to work with him, the established music directors of that era forged a CARTEL amongst themselves and forced didi not to work with Nayyar sahab... hence Nayyar sahab has all his songs by ASHAji (also a legend BTW)....

my apologies if this is off topic...
hindi isn't my first language so i may not understand the subtlety and nuances of the lyrics..but even i have a favorite hindi singer...he is the wonderful Bhupinder Singh...blessed with an easy, effortless delivery (at least it appears thus).. songs like Dil Dhoondta Hai, Naam Gum Jayega, Ek Akela Is Shaher Mein have been my all time favorites regardless of language, style and genre....can't pin the songs to the movies that they belonged too though...
was wondering if this wonderful singer was still active...vocally that is..

Yes he is. Is mainly into ghazals with his wife. As far as i know, has not cut any albums in the recent past.

Usually sellers are charging premium on these titles.
These songs were frequently found in various compilations too.
Whats your mother tongue moktan?
Other common hits of him being karoge yaad to har baat yaad aayegi, beeti na bitayi raina, kisi nazar ko tera intezaar aaj bhi hai etc.
Not sure but he was last time heard in a mithun chakraborty comedy flop movie don muthusoami.
Also recommended for you are shailendra & amit kumar s/o kishore da.

yes...amit kumar..the guy who sang such evocative songs (perhaps it was that age..mine..when i heard those songs)..movies like..love story, teri kasam, romance..(never watched any of these flicks ..but their music was special in a romantic sort of way..)..anyway, perhaps the good doc would enlighten us as to why on earth was kumar sanu chosen over amit kumar in RD's 1947 a love story...if anyone wanted a Kishore clone i would chose his son any day over other pretenders to the throne....shailender (if he was the guy who sang the Bobby numbers) was i felt a bit bland and one dimensional..just my opinions though...

Why... I cant say. Maybe some industry insider knows. All I can say is casting in mumbai film industry(MFI) wasn t always a mateer of best choice.
Amits most loved song is indeed bade achhe lagte hain, ye dharti ye nadiya ye raina aur tum. His most popular one is definitely roz roz aankhon tale from jeeva.
Shilendra sang in bobby tarana rafoo chakkar etc.
