Hi
I cannot find back / surround sound speakers in this package
will this speaker with proper placement give dolby atmos feel.

Pioneer Andrew Jones AJ-5237ZT 7.1 Channel Speaker Package

The Pioneer Andrew Jones AJ-5237ZT 7.1 speaker system consists of:
FLOOR STANDING SPEAKERS SP-FS 52 (ONE PAIR)
BOOK SHELF SPEAKERS SP-BS22 (TWO PAIR)
CENTER CHANNEL SPEAKER SP-C22 (ONE PIECE)
SUB WOOFER S-MS3SW (ONE PIECE)

Is it too powerful for a room of 10 x 18 ???

Am i missing something ?

Hi

The speakers mentioned by you are meant for a 7.1 setup....you can have a 5.1 setup and add the other 2 speakers for dolby atmos...provided the AVR you use has Dolby Atmos and you have Dolby Atmos content to play and view....

If you do a simple google search for Dolby Atmos, you will realise that these speakers are specially designed and angled to get the desired effect.

I would suggest you read about Dolby Atmos...then go for a demo of the same to experience it...

The you experience a 7.1 normal setup where 2 speakers are assigned as Front Height or Back Surround. See google images for a 7.1 setup which will give you a fair idea....

Once you have done this then decide if you really want Dolby Atmos....IMHO not much difference....

It's the number of bookshelf speakers:
BOOK SHELF SPEAKERS SP-BS22 (TWO PAIR)
Two pair = 4 speakers.

Sure. With 4 bookshelf speakers, you can place 2 at your sides and 2 behind you for a traditional 7.1 layout OR you can use 2 as surrounds and 2 as heights for a 5.1.2 Atmos layout. Your choice.

Not at all.

hmmm... still 10 years in india to have 80% above content for atmos i think so... 5.1 will be a better choice to buy or 7.1 for next 8-10 years, what do you say...

thanks

Hi

A 7.1 system should suffice, you can also use the same as 5.1....

Go for something nice so that you can enjoy the experience....see the pre owned section or hi fi ads...good systems

What about your AVR? Is it supports Dolby Atmos?
If its supports the ATMOS then you have to download proper atmos supported content or buy bluRays and try to play.
Your speaker setup decent enough to your room size. When connect to extra pair of speakers, just follow the manual of avr how they suggested for atmos.
