Wow, just logged in to check on any updates on LG 2016 models. Waiting to see how they price their 65" 4K HDR models (not HDR enabled ones).

Did the new TVs come this weekend? I couldn't spot any. Anyone else did?
I am told it will take atleast one more month to be widely available in Indian markets. Expect it to be available by July end or Aug beginning. Probably just before Rio Olympics.

I don't find the web os 3.0 very useful as it's been upgraded with very basic features. Zooming the image i don't know how its useful to common people and other basic features like mobile dlna streaming app, play and pause button on remote are very common upgrades. Nothing hifi or amazing or totally new will be there in the upgrades.

Split view is a major update. One can watch cricket on DTH channel at the same time watch movie connected through USB device. No other brands support this feature. Other brands support two channels at same time but not two different input sources.

Do you really thing people can watch 2 things at the same time mate. I don't think we are chameleons. LOL...its just one of the enhanced features but in regular daily use i feel its worthless.

Hsshh. I think its again old wine in new bottle.. Old tech is coming again & again with same features.
We had seen Picture In Picture (PIP) with old CRTs in 90s. Few had picture And Picture (PAP) as well. Now they call Split screen. Even some 9 years old flat tvs supported split screen for 2 different inputs

Here are few of the features that WEB OS 3.0 supports:

Three new "magic" smart features: Magic Zoom offers zooming without picture quality degradation; Magic Mobile Connection allows for easy wireless connection between mobile device and the TV; Magic Remote now features set-top box "on/off" and "menu" buttons and DVR functions

My Channels and Live Menu have been upgraded with new sub-features to make them more useful to users, such as the ability to register up to 10 favorite channels through the Electronic Program Guide and easily check programming on other favorite channels without having to leave the screen they're enjoying.

Channel Advisor analyzes viewing patterns and displays upcoming time slots with program information about a user's frequently watched programs.

Multi-view allows users to watch two different sources simultaneously - for example, two channels at the same time, or one channel and a Blu-ray movie at the same time.

Music Player app plays music through the webOS 3.0 TV speakers, even when the TV is off.

IoTV app allows onscreen control of smart home appliances from LG and other manufactures that are compatible with LG IoTV.

Wow! Have you guys seen the prices? 49UH650T costs Rs. 114,900 in India (LG's website). It (49LH6500) costs US$ 799 in USA (LG's website). USA's price doesn't include sales tax while India has increased excise duty on TVs. But still!

Bought 49UH850T for 1.19Lac this weekend pics not good for watching at night in dark room due to side bleeding but except for that everything is magnificent
