Low and high voltage protection

I am planning to remove the Zephyr power conditioner that I have been using with my system. The power supply is quite clean in my area.

I just need some sort of protection for my equipments from high voltages and brown-outs which might happen. Is there any such thing which just cuts off the power supply outside a range of voltage (say something which cuts off the power outside of 190-230 volts) ?

the best ones are from siemens,ABB and L&T

these are all peace of mind relays

look at the correct ampere rating and buy

a 10 amp rating normally suffices in most high end setups

we dont want to pick a value too high

I already have a seperate power line for my system.

Two challenges in front of me are - shipping the Zephyr out and choosing a good circuit breaker device.

I don't want a voltage stablizer. I just need something that cuts off beyond a certain range of voltages. Inside that range I don't want any change in voltage or any kind of correction.

i think its 100$ but the best reason to buy it is there 1lakh rupee gaurantee

which is to say they insure upto 1 lakh on the system chain connected to them

However their distribution module is crap


if you just require a volatge cutoff as you describe
then just get the L&T relay

Why not look at power docs -
I am using it for my house, 3X 16A on each phase of mains after meter.

Lower voltage never occurred in my experience but it cuts off at 255-260V mains supply. Also on rainy days, it used to cutoff for few sec while some noise encountered, same time computer ups also made kit kat sound of relay for noise detection.

As an afterthought, I am planning to run my system as a friend of mine does.

I'll use a sine wave inverter and batteries for running the system. Power supply from the grid will be used only the recharge the batteries.

Still to plan the final solution for the power, depending on what system I get after selling of my present AP actives.

EDIT : On calling them I found out that they provide EMI/RFI filters also and Lightening protection too (at an increased cost).

Interesting. Is this a per-socket solution, or a per-phase solution? What is the cost?

I have opted for a 3KVA solution with EMI and RFI filters and a socket. Cost including taxes and shipping is INR 4,424.18

They have per phase and multiple phase options too apart from per socket.

I will be using this just before my second system. (I am planning to use the battery option for my main system instead of Zephyr)

It can be installed just after the meter too as per the documentation on their site.
