Low and high voltage protection

I got the device today. The company has sent me the device which has to be connected in the line rather than the one I had asked (for connection before the equipment).

That's a one point minus even before I have tried the device !

Are you going to adjust and make use, or send it back for the right one?

I have already packed it for sending back.

I had a telephone conversation and they gave me the option of sending it back or using it by connecting an external socket. I prefer neat looks too and so I am sending it back. (I can open the box and put a socket on my own but that may void the warranty.)

Got the replacement today. It looks pathetic. I could have done a better job of attaching a socket and a cable.
The box is unevenly painted from outside in black color and the finish is worse than what a five year old could have done. I'll hide it somewhere out of sight and then try it.

Even if it works, I will not recommend it to anyone. Similar solutions can be made at home at a fraction of a cost and with better finish.

That's why I used Sukam power doc, it was long journey of research. :) unfortunately my suggestion went unnoticed.

I use battery based solution for my main system. This was an interesting option going by specs but turned out to be a terrible looking one.

I am planning to buy a good box and use the internals from this device for making my own distribution box with voltage protection and filters.

Your suggestion did not go unnoticed and I did look that up too. The specs of this device somehow lured me.

What do you use from Sukam and which application? This thread got me thinking, instead of spending $$$ on power chords and capacitor upgrades in my amp, should I just go for a clean power solution?

I am using like this. One phase is kept direct as it needs on always and nothing could be damaged. Other 2 are working. Sorry for blurr image. It's connected at each phase as - meter -> MCB -> power Doc -> smaller MCBs for loads.

it currently retails 1199 at flipkart now.... such price variations make me doubt the quality and reliability, but since i got it anyways, using it...
