Did get a call few minutes back from Bass and Treble, and the price mentioned for 2012 model is Rs 39000 wherein the model of 2011 , which is what I was informed is being offered by Audio People is also available at the special price of Rs 33000 .
Probably I need to understand the diff between the two models ,before I finally decide.
Any comments or info would be help to me,thanks

There is no 2012 model.. Shez confusing you.
Latest is 2011 model and it is 33k.

Please post the detail review.

Sachin has the photos and can write the coverage..

DACs available were,
Oppo 93 (internal)
MF M1
Arcam Rdac
Gatorized Beresford Caimen
CA Dacmagic
Audio GD DAC (Chinese brand)

Amp -> Rotel 2 channel.
Speakers -> B&W 603 S3.

Of this, the M1 produced the most convincing sound stage and overall sound IMO.

The best bass was unboubtedly produced by Audio GD. But Iam not convinced about the hf liveliness.

Other DAC came after these two.

My ordering,
MF M1/Audio GD > Arcam rDAC > CA Dacmagic > Bresford > Oppo 93

MF produced volumes of HF details without fatigue. Arcam also produced good amount of HF details but it could get fatinguing. Audio GD did not have any HF bite (while bass was awesome).

Murthy liked Audio GD overall more than MF. He should post his opinions.

Waiting for others experience also!

Could be only devided with M1 vs Audio GD.
Other ordering is still same.

What was the source, DAC input type and the music type?

Source is oppo 93 and Music PC.
Optical and Coaxial difference is tested and is insignificant.

Music - Eagles, Pink floyd, Celine Dion, Telugu/Bollywood songs.

the audio gd when it started out used to retail at 280$ ( now its much more following some fame)
decent dac for that price- heard it a couple times
infact i think there is a used one for sale in mumbai

From my understanding the ACSS output stage (no feed back discrete output stage) we tried is designed for best neutral performance and hence the smoother highs.
We did not try the second Op-amp output stage. The op-amp can be changed with the one which offers more HF bite you looking for.

What would be the cost of this audio GD?.

Thank you.
It cost about 24k including 10 day EMS shipping with customs to India.

They have about 11 DAC/ DAC with Headohone amps ranging from $200 to $1900.

how does the USB compare to other inputs in your sessions? In my demo at B&T Gurgaon, I found my PC foobar -> usb dull compared to CDP - but I am not sure how expensive was the CDP. It looked like an expensive one. Also, since the music I played was from HDD, the rip quality can also be blamed.

Yeah, So the internals can obviously be altered for the sound you like according to what ravi_d mentioned that day also. (If you are experimentation oriented I mean)

He has actually ordered some op-amps from china to experiment himself.. :)

Also the DAC had a volume control (a preamp) attached and we did not know how to bipass it.

So there were 2 preamps in the chain (DAC and integrated) so not sure how it works out completely with a power amp alone.

A beautiful, well-constructed speaker with class-leading soundstage, imaging and bass that is fast, deep, and precise.
