Need advice!!! Sony W850a or LG LA6910?

I am about to purchase 47 LA6910. After seeing light bleeding, i am kinda scared to invest 90K.

Can somebody confirm if its a known issue in this model.

I love this TV with its desing, PQ and its smart features. But At the same time, i need the quality and dont want to have a bad experience with the TV, dont want to run behind the vendor for a the faulty product.

Anyone else who has a same TV, Whats your though on this.

Appreciate your assistance.:licklips:

Hi don't worry my friend... This light bleed is not anything to do with specific model... it is the problem on any brand edge led tvs... And the probability of this is very less... It is one off issue and buy whatever u like with positive mind... All the best...

finally got the replacement after two weeks...this was mainly due to holiday season...got the new tv...the edge bleeds were no more....better than the last panel....i will post the pics soon....

just a sample..

Very good info shared here..

Would appreciate if someone can give further insights.

Which is the better option for a gaming screen? Maybe 3D gaming as well (Killzone3 etc. Very few games really, but 3D movies would be watched now and then)

I have a PS3 and a HTPC(XBMC) cum gaming unit, currently on an old 32" Sony and wanted something bigger (6-7ft viewing distance).

I have no interest in cable tv. My usage is 50% gaming and 50% HD movies.
Planning on PS4, once it gets a little cheaper.

I know W850 has the best input lag, but there is no info on the LG model's gaming capabilities. Pana plasma has disappeared from everywhere.(vijay sales, Chrome, eZone).

So basically its either of the two..

I had the exact same queries and some more into this. I have opened a new thread for LG LA6910 so everything is fresh and you have a better chance of finding a solution there too. Have a good evening! :)

^ But I guess you have bought it already.
I am still confused with 6910 and w850 (and to add to the confusion, F5500).

If one was 15k+ cheaper, I would have bought that, but both costs almost the same.

As I have already told you I am beyond happy that I chose this model over any other product of Sony. Though Panny ET60D is brilliant too and why not looking into plasmas? They might be old but old is god, seriously! I roamed for about 60 days before buying my tv and pretty sure I have ridden for about more than 200 Km roaming all the shops and the BEST one I found was the Panasonic ET60D and Lg LA6910. Sony is very good too but too much false coloration and too much of 'redness'. I suggest you look into Panny and LG. :ohyeah: I have had Panny CRTs, LCD's, LED's and even a massive full HD projector, I am very very happy with all of them and their service too!

Finally, I would like to end by saying that you could choose between Panny plasma or LED's or just go for LG! :licklips:

Best of luck on the search and happy viewing! :clapping:

Looks like TV and fridge is proposed to get cheaper this budget..:clapping:

Hi

Between both models, you need to decide on the connectivity options available, the price, the performance, etc etc...end of the day buddy..it is what appeals to you and your wallet!

Sony has been in the Television market for donkey years and the obvious choice would be SONY....but LG on the other hand has studied the market and made competitive products to counter sales....

End of the day...see reviews especially performance issues and complaints for these models... a simple google search will tell you what to do...remember the TV that offers more warranty is better as internet reviews suggest lifespan of LED TVs 3D TVs between 3-5 years....

But W950 is active 3D vs passive of W850a/6910.
I will have friends over, I don't want to buy 5-6 uber expensive 3D glasses.
Plus I think long gaming/movie sessions with active is bound to give you headaches. On top of that I wear glasses.

Everybody here seems to suggest sony over LG. I have personally demoed both of these models and i have found LG to be better. The colors are very natural and pleasing to the eye. Sony color seems to be artificial and inferior compared to LG. Something wrong with my eyes? Or are the others blinded by the sony brand?

Hi

I am getting it for 91k. Can anybody tell me what's the box content?

Is magic remote & flexible bracket are part of it?
