At 50k the I doubt the quality of the sub or the difference it could additionally add to the already existing setup. REL is good but very expensive...good for music. But for movies, general consensus in most of the forum talk is svs...svs sb1000 is pretty near your budget I guess. Pb1000 is slightly more pricey...i have titinus too, but not a big botheration so far...i own sb3000 (svs) and sb16...their app helps tune subwoofer in ways that cant be done by many other subwoofers...its too good to be true and the performance is tooooo good!!

Klipsch 120 value for money.

how about

DEFINITIVE TECHNOLOGY PROSUB 1000

For the price, it is "Definitely" not worth it. I had it and it was an over hyped average 10 inch sub and sold it after a year. Their response to my emails contradicting the specs was non existent.
You can try Rythmik, Rel HT 1205 as mentioned above or even SVS. Pls lookout for good preowned subs in the HFV classifieds in case if someone is selling.

OP, I am curious what you mean by room filling bass. The signal is present in the source, typically you can increase or decrease it (where you say you don't want loud) so it almost sounds like you want to create lower bass frequencies than in the signal such that they are not perceived as loud and "fills the room". If so then you might need a subharmonic synthesizer, I think this will do that. It's been a while but last I checked dbx made one. If you mean something else please do say what you mean. Hope this helps and enjoy the music.

PS - Thank you for the trip down memory lane with your music.

For excellent sound that won't break the bank, the 5 Star Award Winning Wharfedale Diamond 12.1 Bookshelf Speakers is the one to consider!
