OLED TV's price/best quote thread

These are already some good prices. 77" S90C looks tempting as it's most certainly the same S95C 2nd gen qd-oled panel and add to it, has full 48Gbps HDMI2.1 port which S95C lacks. It might only be little less bright than S95C but then is around 50K cheaper also

Absolutely. If it can hover close to 3L around Diwali, it would be a great buy. No real reason for the others (LG G3, Sony) unless you need to place it in a bright room.

I asked my local RD in Bengaluru and he said he can match these prices pretty easily.

So yeah these are very real

Yes please. You have paid a premium price. Please don't settle for anything less. Also, make use of warrenty when its there!

Any discounts on 42 oled at Bangalore.. planning to change the monitor to this!
I’d not be confident in getting an OLED as a monitor. It will 100% burn in from taskbar. Also 4k at 42” will not look sharp at that distance.

Better to get a TV like the Samsung QN90 43” or their miniLED lineup of monitors. They’ll be brighter, no ABL, and almost as good with HDR with zero burn in risk.

I personally own a Samsung neo G7 monitor (miniLED with 1192 zones and almost 1300 nits)

Not sure where C2 42/ 48in went.. They didn't lower the price of C2 48 and were stuck at 95k, it was too close to C2 55 which was selling at 1.10 (1.04 effective). Final they gave C2 48 for 84k effective.
Store used G2 65 they said they will make it to 1.70 effective. I was about to 🤢🤢 (Note: Diwali 22, they sold New G2 65 at 1.72 for 1 week that created stock issues till Jan/ Feb 23 hence rising the prices). I urge everyone please do not buy any store used items from Croma/ RD, they are not even lowering price by 30% where the TV panel is almost dead and ran in full brightness/ vivid for 3to 4k hours. They conveninetly increase the price of the TV to justify the same!

Did anybody get new prices for C3/ G3? I got final offer for C3 65 at 1.85 (effective)
What TVs are you scounting for? Frankly, I'm so exhausted to get hold of a OLED, prices are too high and too frequently changing. Leaning towards MiniLeds looking at the Prime day sale prices viz.TCL C825 was for 60k.

S95c without DV is still better than A95k? Just curious to know.
  • It's a lot brighter, 1350 nits vs 950.
  • 4 HDMI 2.1 ports v/s just 2
  • Newer gen QD-OLED panel which will last longer
  • 144Hz panel vs 120Hz
A95k has pros like having DV, playing DTS audio, more accurate.

It depends on your preference. But since I already have the A95K, this year I'm looking at either 65" S95C or 77" S90C(new panel). When I want to watch DV content I have the A95k in another room anyway.

144hz on S95C is hit and miss because of 40 Gb/ port thanks to One Connect Box. It does work with some AMD cards with DSC but then it's hit and miss because of limited bandwidth. Apparently all the Samsung TVs with One connect box were always limited at 40Gb/s but reviewer noticed.
I will also be finalising 75/77" set this finally as I am satisfied with the current year offerings and price. 77" S90c looks like a perfect bargain if it's 100% confirmed to be 2nd Gen panel which it should be by common rationale. But I am vary of Samsung and even doubt that they may start pushing LG WOLED panel in 77" because of shortage. Is there any way we can confirm the panel type for S90c from store before committing

Brightness is in trend these days. So I get it.

Oh damn I didn’t know. My 4K 165 Hz monitor works without an issue with DSC even on DP 1.4 (lower bandwidth than HDMI 2.1) so I thought it wouldn’t be a problem

Yup S90C 77” looks perfect. It should be the new panel. IIRC WOLED is just for 83”.

Also Samsung is manufacturing these in India which is why 77” is so cheap. As such, they won’t be importing LG panels here just for a different assembly line. Also, WOLED will just cost them more as LG 77” panels are more expensive.

I haven’t heard about panel lottery for 77” yet. We’ll know it via internet so for now it seems like a safe bet.
