Panasonic E6 - Display problem or what ?

What's the latest on this...what did engineer say
I have called numerous times to their call center to request to come & visit
service guy close the case themselves by saying case is resolved  so have to raise the complaint again & again.
They have taken photograph today ( of internal panel) & said we'll submit the report & if approved we'll replace the panel only hmm..they aren't willing to give a new replacement though.

Only if there serious issues, then they might consider replacing the unit.... Otherwise, replacing parts is the mantra...

how to identify if they giving a fresh panel or not ( new panel comes packed or loose ?)

I would advise against panel replacement. Simply because it is difficult to reach factory level precision.

Also, I do not trust fellows involved in between. I do not want to leave my LED at their disposal specially when we all know even dealers offer used sets.

They aren't ready to admit at first that tv has problem, now they admit & changing panel, no aren't giving new replacement though.

Hi guys,

My e6 gone kaput, my tv is still in warranty, panassonic don't have parts for my tv so they offered me model no 42c410d & asking 18000 more for it .
Don't they have to replace the tv for free ? as its still in warranty & they don't have the part so thats their problem, please suggest what should I do.

You do not need them to give you an old model (42C410D) at Rs 18,000/-. The cost of it is probably less than Rs 18,000 unless it is a brand new sealed piece, which I doubt.

Fight for replacement for free with a new piece.

Panasonic Customer care have been going downhill for quite some years. They did not have extended warranty schemes, they started this just this just a year ago following the trend of other companies. In reality this company has lost its foothold in India.
I used to be a fan of Pana. But I have suffered much and decided not to buy any products any more from Panasonic.

Aren't they supposed to give me new tv free of cost ? Then whats the 3 years warranty is all about, what should I do now ?

Tell them that you are not going to pay any money and they should give an equivalent TV free of cost. Escalate the matter to higher Panasonic officials if they don't agree and if everything fails, go to consumer court.

Panasonic customer service in India is utter crap and i have been warning people on this forum to stay away from this brand since years.

Maybe they are supposed to, however, do you think they will? Will it not be a loss for them to replace a used damaged TV for a completely new one free of cost?

If you actually read the extended warranty, there probably is a loophole for them to wriggle. I have not actually read it but I am sure it does. :)

I have heard members get replacement free of cost, but probably it would be a last resort kind of thing for them.

I just bought a brand new 42c410D for 32k with one year warranty. So if they are asking you 18k more means roughly they are buying back your TV for 14 k. Of course the rider here is are they giving you a brand new box piece or a refurbished one. Just check on the same.

Thats great, they are fooling me, you bought it in a special scheme or this is regular price of tv ?
I purchased my e6 for 54k so i'm telling them to give me free exhange with that amount & model similar to e6.

Which model is good nowadays in 42 lineup ?

Thanks !

These Panasonic thugs won't co-operate until you are ready for consumer forum complaint, you will get a equivalent TV free of cost. Don't wait till your warranty gets over.
