Panasonic plasma V20 series group buy

ok guys! I am finally the proud owner of Panasonic 42v20. But guess what? I had a fantastic deal. I thought I must share it with you. I got it for INR 52994/- :licklips:

Croma, Rohini is selling each piece for 59994/- with free 22" Sansui LCD or 7k cash back. :licklips: I preferred the cash back. Luckily the offer was from today. ONLY 4 PIECES LEFT. All guys finishing up the stock must own up here. :D

Other guys dont be mayoos. Similar offer on 42x30 so its for 43994-7000=36994. Few more offers on LCDs and LEDs and really mouth watering one.

All the best guys. This may be your last chance for a 42v20 deal. :)

Congratulations on your purchase Taurean Bull! That is a smashing deal! This is what i have been talking about all this while, the prices will come down just hang in there. Thanks for the lead. So this brings it to an all time low of Rs 52994/-. Can you tell us if this is with the 1+2=3 years warranty card from Panasonic? Did you get the dealer stamp on yours? Lets make sure they are selling us the genuine stock and not the feared "Alpha radios" imported stock. The dealer I was negotiating with, still holds on to his quoted price. Can you PM us (anm and myself) the contact number of the salesman at Croma Rohini?

@anm, do you want to check it out today? The intention was group buy, which still holds, so what say? Let me know. I will PM you my contact number.

just wanted to share that to my surprise when everyone was talking about depleted stocks of 42v20 and most of the people saying that its discontinued... i figured out today at vijay sales having a brand new 42 incher with them...i always saw 50 incher at their store but never 42 across all stores in Mumbai at least i visited 5 of them... and the pricing is 70500...isn't that insane when we are talking about prices being taken to southwards of 58 k and below...and how come they start selling it now when they never had it during its peak selling time for almost last one year..

Sifarsound, this is what is referred to as "dealer" greed which some of our esteemed HFV members have brought to our attention. Demanding an obsolete item or discontinued model almost always triggers a price hike when sellers realize buyers are aware of commodity value. Best way to approach these guys is to quote the lowest price offered and they will bring it down in a day or two or else, jib an unsuspecting buyer quoting "High in demand, last piece, buy today or else..." liners. Frankly, such a reseller is not worthy of your time and money. If they say customer is king, make him feel like one!

No. 2 yrs additional warranty with extra 2k+ amount. I did not opt that.

The number of Croma I PMed you both.

hi - videofile, I have some guests coming over so won't be able to go out. I would definitely want to buy one 42 at least. I am in fdbd. Rohini is too far away for me. I won't mind if you are going there and make the deal for two. If they can accept net transfer and deliver it would be great, coz next few days are going to be hectic as we have meetings with the CEO.

@Taurean Bull, thank you for the information. I have a feeling the warranty is 3 years default, provided units have been purchased from Panasonic India. It could be a trick to make a fast buck reselling 2 Yrs additional warranty, that which should come default with the purchase of V20. This puzzles me, hopefully our pdp's don't fail on us, in any case the warranty should cover life of appliance over the next 3 years. :-?

@anm Rohini's far too, I m going to check with Croma South Ex. A salesman at Croma Rohini informed me that the special offer is valid across all Croma retail outlets. Calling all Cromas within the vicinity to check on that. no calls answered. Will keep you posted on the progress. Wish you some respite from the upcoming hectic schedule. :-)

@imgene, what was the degree of professionalism exhibited by the salesmen at Croma South Ext. on a scale of 1 to 5 when you visited them last? They seem least bothered to answer calls or pass on my query to the right staff member. I'll just keep trying. ;-)

@TB, thats a killer price :clapping: . Enjoy..

Does croma offer same deals across locations ?

Kittu,

Croma Rohini confirmed deals are valid across all outlets in Delhi/NCR. If this is true, then similar offer should be available in other states. No harm in checking with nearest outlet, you never know. ;-) Wish you the best.

Checked with few croma outlets in bangalore, no one seem to have the latest stocks and they are not aware of any such offer. Only display piece is available for 45k with one year (repair only) warranty.

Don't lose hope, yet Kittu. Display pieces in Delhi are still selling at 53k and up, 45k is the best price on a display piece so far. Patience my friend. Play it like a game. You should see a good deal coming through very soon. :-)

I would rate my interaction at 4, I faced the same issue, no one answered the phone but when I visited them, they were good.

Please keep me posted if they have any KILLER offer.. :D

Thank you, i fully agree with you that all these guys are only interested in selling the products they buy in large quantity such as toshiba, sansui, aoc etc and for rest of the things customer is big fool..sometime when i talk 2 these big shops's representatives completely amaze me, and the kind of confidence they have in fooling you while giving you information, for example last friday i visited another vijay sales outlet in prabahadevi desperately looking to see a demo of samsung 51d550 as i am completly confused between pannny and sammy and wanted to demo samsung as well before plunging in...the guy tells me plasma is not in demand and the model which i am telling them is a "made to order" and can only be ordered if you agree to buy and pay some advance.. that was firs time i ever heard MADE TO MODEL for TV...probably they thing the other person is always low in info and only belief what the representative tells...and its everywhere..chroma,vijay sales, ezone, hypercity or name any other big outlet..

Congrats TB for ur new indulgence and thanks a lot Videophile for sharing the number.

Will try to get hold of the deal along with one of my friend who need a LCD of 22" or 24". We will share the cost, so it might cost me around 51k :yahoo:

Hi All,
Thanks a lot to all of U, especially Videophile, Just4kix, Imgene. Yesterday i booked my V20 from Croma Rohini and that too the last packed piece.

Actually it costs me around 50-51k as my friend is buying the LCD of sansui and will be sharing Rs 10000/- with me:ohyeah:.

SO i got the cheapest V20 till date....:clapping:

Guys now i have following questions, plz help ASAP and kindly send ur replies on my mail is i.e. [email protected].

1.) How to check whether the delivered piece is new?
2.) How to check, the number of hours it has already run?
3.) Proper breakin process and number of hours in breakin required?
4.) Breakin Slides?
5.) DO we need stablizer ?
6.) Links to reveiw of this model?

Thanks in advance
will share rest in evening....

@h_bharti,
To answer your questions,
1) Check the screws and threads, and thread holes. If the threads seem to have been disturbed, that's a clue that it's not a brand new piece. Look for dust in some of the corners and edges. Also, all brand new units, on powering on, go to the setup page. I think this can be overridden manually though, so it's no guarantee.
3) I think 100 is the standard break-in hours, with sharpness, contrast, brightness and colour all below 50. No static image for more than 5-10 min for the first 100 hours.
4) Should be able to find online. Google it. I had gotten mine from avsforum.
5) Spike guard should be good enough, though I use it with my UPS
