They have sealed TVs, also they have one on display too, didnt negotiate for the Demo/display piece.
I have chekced PQ of X30 and V20 side by side and there is a noticable difference b/w them.
Iam looking for U30 now as want to buy a Plasma (future proof) in Full HD as i'll be playing games and watching HD/FHD movies from Hard Drives.
Yet not get prices of X30 and have not been able to watch X30 and U30 side by side (may be this weekend).
Anyways V20 is best plasma offered in India by Panasonic yet.....

Times running out, those in for the 50V20D in Mumbai for 80k pls PM me asap. Am waiting till Friday Evening the will go ahead with my purchase.

Just confirmed with my vendor here in Mumbai the Panasonic 50V20D is with 3 years warranty and the best price would be 80k, am booking mine today evening awaiting others from Mumbai who would be interested.

Last price quote 58,000 in cash, 59,102 on Credit. I have the number of the dealer in Gurgaon, head office in Sadar Bazaar, Old Gurgaon. But, he has multiple shops reselling multiple brands at Ambience Mall, Gurgaon. With h_bharti's confirmation on Croma Rohini carrying new pieces in stock (not sure how many), we now have an alternate place to shop ;-)
anm, Taurean Bull, are you in any hurry to pick up the pieces or can wait for prices to fall further? I have a gut feeling we should see a further drop starting July. Could be wrong though. I m not in a hurry, still researching on the 2nd best plasma after the V20 in terms of PQ v/s features. Any suggestions are welcome.

I noticed too, not side by side but at different dealers/showrooms. I keep asking myself, could it be part of tricks by resourceful sales staff may have tweaked settings of all HDTVs on display to support sales, boost sales one brand/tech v/s other or trust and take their advice in good faith. May I ask, why U30 Full HD when you liked PQ of the V20 Full HD?

Standard punch line of sales personnel after product training classes "Dear Customer, Think fast, we have very limited stock, last piece or two left" or "Sorry, we are out of stock, only demo piece available" when they have a highly informed, particular model selective customer at hand. A month later they have stock. I was assured by Jumbo Electronics sales staff, Panasonic phased out the V20 (true) and we will never carry stock again (false) with last going price Rs 70,000 (true) only to find out a month later "We have it in stock, price Rs 66,000".
Ritesh, I m sure there will be a further price drop in July and the 50V20D will be in stock. Are you going for it because the dealers claim the 42V20D is not in stock? I thought the same when I called 15 Panasonic Brand Shops and visited 3 showrooms in person. I almost gave up. Then it struck me, what if they have intentionally suppressed stocks to create a panic buying spree amongst informed buyers, "Get your HDTV now or else....repent forever" sort of attitude. Dealers have a strong network to control their sales purchase moving stock when you least expect it. I think to wait and watch won't hurt.

Yes please, during your visit to South Ext. over the weekend, if you can inquire best price with payment terms (Cash and Credit), mode of delivery, pieces in stock, sealed or open boxed, warranty period on the 42V20D and the 50V20D that'd be great.

Yeah, Last time when I went there, they had very nice collection on the wall.

Thanks a lot for sharing info regarding various stores: Yesterday in late evening i went to Croma Raja Garden, they have only one display piece of V20 left @ RS 59990/-. They didnt have U30, but X30 was on display and looked dismal in front of V20.
I checked the PQ of V20 with Samsung 43" plasma and other leading brand LED and LCD costing more than 60K,but the PQ is best in V20 as comapared to Sony, LG, VU, Croma, Samsung and Toshiba.:clapping:
Than visit the Panny Bshop Raja Garden around 8.45, but sales men seemed least interested in attending me, so i decide to intentnally spend more time in shop and observed following points:
1.) As per salesman V20 (42") is closed and no piece is available.
2.) X20 was on display with a price tag of Rs 33000/-
3.) X30 was also on display with a price tag of around 37500/-.
4.) I checked White and brightness level of X20 with X30 and X30 has better white/Black and brightness.
5.) But compared it with (side by side) GT 42" series and difference b/w HD and FHD is huge. Like deapth of colurs, edges of pictures and text, smoothness in fast moving objects.
As per Salesman U30 will be available only in July and no price details yet.
Iam also not in a hurry so will wait for U30 to come.
Does anybdy has seen the U30 42" in Delhi and the tentative price for that?
