A) Poor maths as well, I was offered my Last XT at 48 K and this guy has an offer at 49K with 5K as discount for HT...May be you meant 2K+3K=5K lol......

Find me a deal where any dealer is selling XT50 even without HT at 44K??? Dealer from whom I bought at 48K, was not ready to offer even 1K discount. He had called someone from Branch office and confirmed that HT is offered from company and thus no way any discount can be offered.Dealer also know product is useless and has no buyers in market. Almost no sales at a price tag of 15K when Sony etc offer better HT at that price range.

One should buy products in real world, rather than reading forums and making comments based on assumptions...lol

C) Also, I have bought XT50 one week back and it was couple of guys who had sought deals...

Also, there are people like me for whom HT is useless..Why you represent all..

Choice of words like dhol, using butter reflect upon someone's upbringing, education & mind set, if any...

I bought my set at 48K and thus paying 1K is not a big deal.Its about a possible Win-Win scenario...

Now about your maths formula - your dealer was offering at 49K doesnt mean that it is the street price. you have yourself got it at 48K and people have been offered at 47K, so the offer of 44K is not far away.. 2-3 K was to represent that.

Now the best thing about talking about someone's upbringing is that it has an equal reaction - it shows your upbringing as well... am not going any further than this since that's not the objective for you or me to be on this forum, hope you will appreciate that as well.

Well if you think only you own a Plasma/LCD, probably you need to see around - everyone here belongs to the same category/class however you want to put it... I have 3 LCDs, 1 LED & 3 CRTs in my 2 houses... I have mentioned about LCDs/LEDs in earlier posts but do not feel it is something to "show off" as you might have done... I have posted my opinion on new Plasmas from what I saw in demo alongwith prices at various places as appropriate.. its just that my UT50 delivery is pending (have mentioned this earlier as well) and hence I have not updated others on review / pictures etc. Didnt know that people judge others by these facts, this was never my expectation either.

This is where, you suggest that deal is bad as HT is not free, while in ST50 thread you say that different people have diff percieved value of the product..Contradiction, in less than few hours....

I wish it was easier for people to understand that how they "want" to understand / see things... ST50 thread is about not making free gift as the reason to buy the product and I agree with it.. in this case I am saying that the perceived value of free gift is more than the discount being offered (3-4k whatever) and hence it might make more sense to go for it, ofcourse excluding the people who already own a HT or planning to buy a better one...

But seriously - lets help each other out by getting the best deals. We have more serious things to deal with the X series. Like for some videos - mostly recorded HD I am seeing something wrong with the picture - not sure if its called flickering, judder, bad refresh rate...whatever - I need to do some youtube research here - but sometimes its annoying.

And was it LCD freak who had issues with his picture and still Nishab is wanting to buy more TVs of same build??

@rajatk, why do you think XT50 with one glass for the same price of X50 not a crackung deal? I would prefer this. I happen to demo the said HT and it was junk of the highest order. I thought they would compare to onkyo HTIBs in 20k range but not even close. All I heard was noise.

Engineers visited and clicked images of my plasma.They gonna get back to me in another couple of hours

If your question is, if the HT is worth 3-4k, Yes it is. Is is comparable to creatives in that range, infact a little bit more. Whether you want to get it even at that price is best left to you.

They have refused to replace the set. They have suggested Dead Pixel is not a defect. They did not agree with my uneven brightness as an issue either.
But per engineer nothing is a defect.

Fortunately, got connects with Branch Sales team of Delhi and thus marked them an email. Keeping ma fingers crossed!!!

Fun is lost as I had to chase for over a week for Warranty card, Later for Panasonic Club Membership & 3D Glasses had marks.

Now it has dead pixel......

Well Well!! real battle begins now!!!! Wont hesitate to serve a legal notice by end of this week, if nothing moves!!!

All these defects, posts from the owner, engineer indifference, free HT etc makes me wonder if the XT50 is a substandard junk which panasonic wants to disown asap.

Also, I was shocked to see the way my engineer handled the Plasma.

He unmounted the plasma and turned it around 360 degree. I mean plasma must be kept straight, he rotated it with side port facing the floor

I asked him wont it impact the plasma, his answer was a small rotation does not impact.

Well, mishandling by service guys is nothing new. They are ignorant and care least for your product, which "they" don't own (read - haven't paid their hard owned money for). I have seen them put flat panel TVs with panel facing down on sofas. Just think about the pressures the panel is subjected to by the foam beneath. They hold the TVs by clasping the panel with fingers.
Yes, they are right when they smug and say "nothing is going to happen saar, we do this everyday". Nothing happens to the TV during the short time they are at your house. Problems start later. You can't catch them for mishandling. Your warranty is then denied on grounds of your mishandling.
If they do such nonsense, tell to stop doing it immediately. Or if already done, write down what they have done on a piece of paper and get it signed for future reference.
