Last week purchased Yamaha RXV-675 . Exchanged my old Yamaha Rxv 450 for Rs. 10000.
Paid Rs 47000 inr.

Review of the Edifier Studio 7 R2700
First Impression was WOW!! Its a big speaker set Approx 15 inches in height.
Dominated by Large 6.5 inches woofer and accompanied by 4 inch Mid-range And 0.75 inch Tweeter. Good Looks I must say .
Sound is impressive with a heavy dose of bass. Its not like a 2.1 system where you hear all boom boom but its clear bass.
I had a Z5500 long ago and comparing to that this is sweet.
Not loud , not ear blasting but kind of just right.
And for 11K this is the best i could get.

One tip - I found out Maxine products are much cheaper at other stores than Shah's stores which sell at MSRP.

I bought a 1KW transformer for 2400 or someting I forgot, but Shah wanted 3600 for the same product. Another store in Ritchie St, quoted 2700, I negotiated down to 100 or 150rs margin, the guy went to shah store and picked it up and gave it to me.


Bluray player - why dont you buy from US.

BD titles are cheap in US, you can play them.
Amazon UK sells region free movies anyway at low prices. I bought few.
Some indian movies is region free.

I think US player is not a bad choice.
Though I do not buy a lot of discs in India, so maybe it might not be suitable for you.

Maxine is stabilizer cum stepdown. It sends only 110v and cuts everything beyond it.

I use a Monster green power spike buster just for safety.

When I switch off my tv all the other devices switch off automatically.
No standby. You can do various settings.

A simple spike buster is pretty cheap and will work.
