Hello Sir,

Congrats on your purchase! Try games like Prince of Persia, Call of Duty, etc., GTA will be boring.

Looks like HFV has an increasing number of "smart spenders"!!!!!:ohyeah: Vazhga Vazhamudam (Long Live!)

Cheers!

Hi Venkatesh,

Thanks for your wishes.Yes the only way to become a member in the non-spendor's club seems to be to keep away form HFV permanently.I dont think there is any other way.:)

Guys

I picked up a Yamaha RX-V459 receiver 2-3 weeks back for about 10k (used 2007 model). Then about 10 days back I took the plunge and closed a deal on the Yamaha NS-8390 front tower speakers (3-way with 8 inch woofer) and NS-P60 centre and surround package. Got the full speaker set brand new for 19k. MRP was 24k but bargained with Cressida AV Zone here in Chennai and got it for this price.

Performance has been fantastic. As of now have only a portable DVD player connected through coaxial digital out, so I am able to test some DVDs and DTS audio CDs. Mostly listening to audio only.

Shall post snaps once I complete the setup with my 50 inch plasma soon. Still have to get a cabinet for the hifi components, wall mount the centre speaker etc. Waiting for the plasma (planning for end July/early Aug) so that I can position the centre speaker accordingly. Surrounds are already wall mounted (done last week). I might add a subwoofer after a month or two, but for now, I am far more than happy with the bass, treble and overall sound quality from the towers. Fantastic speakers for the money.

Planning to add to this setup in addition to the plasma, a WDTV Live Plus HD media player and Pioneer DV 420 DVD player.

Anyway here is my latest purchase .....

Since my Razor keyboard gone corrupt ... I was kinda fed up with keeping a small night light along with my keyboard for those night gaming sessions. Finally went for Microsoft Reclusa Backlit Gaming Keyboard" Its a decent keyboard with avg finish, and the backlit is decent as well, with the brightness level just enough to let you see all keys and at the same time does not distract you with it as well ..... Features ....

One of the nifty feature is ...

On-The-Fly Profile Management :::: Users can create and store Key Mapping and Macros for each game profile; keyboard software also automatically assigns different game profiles for supported games.

Few Pics ...

Looking for a small Night light for laptop.
Can anyone let me know the better brand, cost, availablity in bangalore?
I tried with this cheap-O led usb lamp (got it from SP Road a year back, Rs100) and i was surpised to see that it lit well at initial stages. Then down the line (after 3months or so), the light went dim and i could rarely see the key's. So looking for a small light, either powered or USB.
I was looking for the oldmodel of tablelamps which i could power with 0 (zero) watts bulb, but in vain. Also most of the recent tablelamps comes with led's!! My preference would be normal bulbs (if the tablelamp holder supports it), else if no option, i shall go for led's.
