Picked up the iPad 2(64gb, WiFi+3G) from Australia, MRP was A$949, but got an employee discount (through a known friend) at A$825 and a 10% tax rebate at the airport in Australia:yahoo: Got a scratch guard and smart cover as a complementary (again an employee benefit) . I guess this my best buy price wise of any apple product I've owned till date. And this device is just awesome for my needs. . The much hyped camera is OK, not that impressive. But the device is definitely cool.

The prices may not be the best you can get in UK. The mian purpose was tourism so could not spare too much time on survey. The prices below are with VAT , 17% of the price you can claim back which I failed to do because of lack of information and guidance. Only myself to blame for this.

I successfully cleared the customs at Cairo airport . Everyitem was packed in suitcase. Nothing to suspect that I have any extra stuff.

Mostly you won't have any problem if you are hitting south India....Don't know about Delhi...but..if its Mumbai..you gotta find someone in customs to clear you....or $$$$

I lugged Onkyo 606, DT Promons 800 and PS3 slim along with many other electronics from US in 2009...and Hyd customs unkal was kool and let me go without me paying single $

PUrchased my first flatscreen TV last week .. I have finally graduated from my good old 21 inch CRT to a 50 inch Plasma...
My panasonic p50v20 arrived last week and I hooked it up with TATASKY+ HD ... I have been spellbound by the sheer size and picture quality. The HD channels by TATASKY HD look really good...
I have been watching really crappy movies just to get watch them in HD .. Yesterday I was watching ULTRAVIOLET just because it was in HD..
The sound quality of the TV is not that great which I was expecting anyway ... I will have to get an AVR + HTS very soon

Terrific. I paid 400USD + Dollar conversion charges of 4% (citibank sucks) and some 1500 bucks over it for the tranportation from US to India.

Just doing the casing works in room for the cables to run. Expecting the whole set up to arrive by next Monday.. Will post the updates here.. Very excited on getting these.. I auditioned them a week back, I listen to Metal mostly, was simply blown away..

Purchased the soundmagic pl11 earphones from ebay for 550 rs. Initial impressions are great. These are certainly better than the creative ep 630 earplugs which I used prior to this for about 2 years. Would highly recommend them.

It may take quite a bit of time to buy myself a TT.

Though it comes with 2 year warranty I would like to check if its working or not? Can I connect a laptop analog out to see if its working?
