hi,

i recently bought a Measy X5 Media Player and a Wireless antenna for the same. I bought this for the following reasons,
1.Tired of my Sony BDP 380 saying that it cannot play this file or that file.
2.Cannot find subtitle and so on...
3.Can store a Internal 3TB HDD, has 4 usb ports.Optical Out. and Mainly ANDROID Apps.(though i haven't used any apps)

AND I GOT IT FOR A STELLER DEAL 9K FOR plus 1K for the wireless antenna, a week later PRICE UP - NOw the price is 15k for the unit.

It's the best investment for my AV setup.:)

hi
nice thread. I , just bought a Marantz NR 1402 through Hifimart group buy. Spec, price, reputation are the considerations. Getting Energy Take Classic 5.0 speakers from the US. Need advice for matching subwoofer in Bangalore / India around 15 K INR.

Recently Bought LG BD670 Blue Ray Player from Pai Electronics
1. what made me to decide that product : This is the only player with inbuilt Wifi support, also the reviews are good
2. Other contenders : Sony BDP and Panasonic
3. Price 11K
4. Purchase date January 2012
5. Purchase place and vender details Pai Electronics Bangalore
6. Pros Simple user interface, supports (atleast claims) a wide range of media filese, mkv files are played without any issues
Cons : Boot time is more (atleast 30 to 45 seconds, no power resume options (this is the biggest con), menu response is bit slow, does not support VOB files ( when played from HDD), workaround is rename the files to mpg.

Just got a 6.1" Kenwood DDX4031 double-din monitor, with Blaupunkt indoor FM-AM radio antenna for the car. The head-unit has a built in steering wheel remote interface that are compatible with most Japanese cars.

Installation was done by using a wire harness to connect with the OEM stereo cable socket to avoid cutting the wires and ending the warranty.

Next project is rear-view camera.
