-- I'll post the test results for .ISO and Region A or C discs after this weekend; as I'm out this weekend.
--I had purchased a BluRay burner as well, but my friend forgot it in his Hotel room. He got lot of MC-BC for this silly mistake, but I am lucky as another colleague stays in same Hotel room for 2 more weeks and he will be able to bring it by July 14th.
Just to add few observations :-
1.
Toshiba 3200 BD player : I tried to play few ISO files on this player, but they didn't seem to play.
But the good news is that...Strict region A/C DVD and Blurays played like a charm without prompting for any Region change
2.
Sony BDX-S600U Bluray Burner:-
Got this item yesterday from a friend who just returned from Frankfurt.
This is a simple thin external Bluray writer, which has 2 USB ports to connect to a PC. (No option of using a power adapter). It came with a DVD which has Cyberlink Media suite having lot of softwares including Power DVD 10 (all licensed versions).
First time when I inserted a BluRay disc, it asked me to select a Region (which can be changed upto 5 times). I chose Region B, as I have most of the region B or Region Free BDs.
And I must tell you...the
performance of this external Bluray drive is superb !! I never imagined that it can play so smoothly with just USB ports !! All the Bluray discs played very smoothly with Power DVD.
However I can't see automatic BD indexing happening with XBMC player. We need to choose specific file to play BD using XBMC player.
I am very happy with this purchase. I'll refer to Sam's thread to rip movies in future whenever needed.

The only flaw I could notice is that...It can't play HUGO BD which has 2D and 3D version in the same disc. The disc was detectable but I couldn't see the video appearing. Need to check if there is a need to change some settings for 3D discs.
