Post your latest AV purchase(s)......

Got a pair of Hippo VB, my first ever decent sounding IEM's and boyy they sing :clapping:

Now I know what people mean when they say soundstage for IEM's. Loving it every bit (yes even the bass in-spite of not being a basshead)

Please share your AV experience with the setup

One of my cousin has the same setup + sub. I just loved watching transformers.
I am eagerly waiting for your review as I am also planning similar setup.
Yes, room acoustics matters. Dont worry ... experts here definitely will bail you out.

Got Denon 2113CI from US. Need to buy step down converter and speakers now. Will post pics once the setup is ready. Thanks to the members.

Can you post a close up picture of that AV Rack?. I want to make or buy one.

I agree... the design looks very neat and sensible.. I might get it made with some modifications of my own that are needed for my area...... :)....

There are a few pictures here (post #22): http://www.hifivision.com/my-audio-video-setup/17554-making-baby-steps-into-hi-fi-3.html

I got it made about a year back, from a furniture shop in Kaloor, on the Kaloor-Kadavanthara Road (first shop on the LHS, on a curve in the road, as you drive towards Kaloor, after you pass the Deccan Chronicle building on the RHS). I was charged 2300.00, if I remember right.

Here's the drawing I gave the carpenter there (with dimensions marked in the print-out):

Thank you, @rude3dawg! :)

That's one beautiful setup hydra. Congrats!

PS: Looks like either you are single or the family patriarch to warrant a single couch chair in the HT room ;)

Thanks, ruenigma! I'm single, heh heh. I stay alone (parents stay next door) so I guess I'm lucky enough to have this luxury :)

Oops! My bad. I'd been saying it that way all along :-(

hahaha.. no worries.. it's how I write my gaming call sign :) ... Its meant to be Rud3d@wg :)... from a very old cartoon that taught me some very important things:rolleyes: ///

P.S Good that you are single.. I Keep dodging the bullet tooo. and its always great too :D atleast most of the times. ;)

Did an impulsive first purchase for my HT system. Had heard these Monoprice speakers during a recent HT meet. They sounded good enough for someone who wants to start off his HT build. Idea is for them to last me a year or until I manage to get good BS + Sub + center.

I reckon I'd continue using the rears later on too. I'd be trying to get the 5 speakers through my relatives when they come back in around 3 months and would be giving away the sub to a relative staying there. Will see if I can sell it off there itself but I am not sure who would buy something low end like this. Trying to get the sub here is not feasible so would just leave it there.

BTW - These were available for just 63$ + 20$ shipping, which is very cheap even if I end up getting only 2 sats + 1 center here :)

Anoop, Congrats on your new rega toy. Eventhough I saw it at muneem's shop, I couldnt check it properly.
BTW, Nice meeting you and thanks for your help in getting a good pair of car audio speakers.

Thank you Sajith :) And hey, you're welcome, it was nothing. It was great meeting you too!
