Post your latest AV purchase(s)......

I'll be doing that for sure, svenkateshsmart. :) I'm just waiting for the TT/cart and the phonostage to break in somewhat. I'll give them 50-60 hours and then write about my impressions.

I'll also do a a Analog-source vs. Digital-source comparo with the same music (I already have CDs of all the new LPs I've bought ripped into FLAC in the Music PC). I'll also be getting a few older LPs this week. (I should have got them today, but the Hartal in my state is screwing up the delivery). I'll also get an idea how older LPs work with the TT/Cart/Phonostage by the time I write something up.

I'll putting this up here once the 50-60 hours are up: http://www.hifivision.com/phono-turntables/25992-tuning-into-analog-state-mind-5.html

Be wary of that.

I think I'm lucky. With most of the late-60's/early-70s stuff that I have both CD and LP, they are remarkably consistent, but I've heard stuff where they really should not have been claiming it was the same record! Of course, where the LP is a better mix, or what some people might feel as being "more original," then you are lucky to have it and the TT to play it on. :)

onkyo hts 3400.
performance is quite good to me,as this is the first ht system I am actually expriencing.:D:D
price was around 22.5 k from e bay india.
using it from tata sky hd via hdmi.also from a media player but sadly the media player does not have 5 channel decoding capacity neither bit stream sending capacity....
real hd channels send dolby digital signal..and dd logo is on in the avr panel.

Beyerdynamics dt 770pro 250 ohms.
still in burn-in period (used around 50+ hours in last 3 weeks) but definitely nice upgrade from Denon ah d1000

Got the edac by Epihany Acoustics as made by NwAvGuy today in office all the way from UK.
Took a good 2 months for it come to India. Paid about 9 k for it. Now can't wait to take it home and test it with my NAD 326 and Paradigm Titan Monitors.

Will write a detailed review after I am settled buying my stands which are currently being fabricated.Till then I am gong to relish this.
Just hang on for a review!

Hi, new to the forum and indeed my first post here. M listening to Onkyo 8255, Bose 301 and Polk Tsi 100, hk go play ii, Sony component ht, etc.

Just got my marantz 7004 pm and na. I am looking for good fs speakers. Would b&w 684 be a good choice. Pls guide.

got the region free kit for my oppo 95. I had to pay a little extra for the VAT, but I got it from Ashish @ Lakozy. What came free with it was about half an hour worth labor to setup the kit. If I was doing it, I would have taken MUCH longer, and may have destroyed something in the process. Ashish does it very well, quickly, efficiently and professionally. Thanks Ashish!

95 is a little more complex than 93. It has an analog board on the top that needs to be removed to install the region free kit.

Finally my subwoofer arrived
