I spoke to Ranga Prasad on hdd. His input is they always sell without hdd in view of warranty issues.. Since he is giving with wifi dongle and pays vat 13.5% he cant make it better...

In that case, I think I better reconfirm the model and the price with their Chennai distributor. But I am sure, he quoted Rs. 7500 for HD model, along with the wifi dongle.

Please check and inform on the same. There is really a huge difference in price. Is bangalore dealer charges are higher because of any hidden or other taxes in karnataka state just like the fuel prices which is top in the country when compared to other states!!! :sad: Can anyone confirm?

Then one would need to rethink on the buying decision! What about other folks here in the group-buy? Do you still perfer to shop with bangalore dealer even if prices are higher than chennai quote?

the pohd with 500 gb is 199 euro on their website.

shailender pls confirm the model once more. because their US price (usd 174) itself works out to around Rs 8400.

I don't think there can be such a vast difference in price between bangalore and chennai. I would still prefer to buy it from bangalore because since I live in banglaore it will be a lot easier to contact the dealer for warranty claims if required.

This must be the right quote. Like I said, he was driving when I called yesterday and must have given me some off-hand price. Also, I don't
think there can be such a huge difference between two delaers even
giving allowance for tax differences.
