Here Comes The Hotstepper was such a rage when it came out. This is a good album overall and Ini Kamoze certainly can sing.

It just does not get any better than this as far as guitar picking/hacking goes. Two masters on one great album. Absolutely MUST HAVE!!!

Country, blues...

Not the usual Knopfler kind. Let's see, it's not Golden Heart or All The Roadrunning, more mellow, has instrumental only and of course Chet Atkins shines through. But not to deter you it's a great album!

Susheela Raman - Salt Rain

Absolutely phenomenal. I have heard only one song, Maya, but it was superb. I believe 'Music for Crocodiles' is also good. There was only one copy available in Landmark, and that was snatched by Raghu of Decibel. Have ordered for both, and cant wait to hear them both.

Songs of Salt Rain are, I believe, particularly valuable to cool you down when your adrenalin is running high.

My god, there are so many good music out there! Can we listen to them all in one lifetime?

Cheers

Probably not! But no harm in trying right?

BTW, I used to play music all night (even when I was asleep the music would keep on playing). Alas, this had to go once the wife came thereby shortening the playing/listening time...

One of the best folk-rockers around. To me this guy is the spritual successor to Guthrie, Seeger and Dylan...

I'd read a long time ago that if Bruce Springsteen was flesh then John Mellencamp was all bone. He was my first entry into hard rock and I'm still listening to him.

Yet more of Mark Knopfler. One artist I cannot get enough of ever since I heard chicks for free with the accompanying awesome guitar riff. Only wish I could play like that!

Absolutely recommend this album, especially if soft rock is your cup of tea. In the mold of Roxette but more aggressive and angry. Their other albums too are good, but this is a great place to start to discover t.A.T.u.
