Right now I am listening to ...

Abba's first album. Not in the league of their later albums, but a must have for me at least since they are one of my favorite groups.

Started with Vienna Teng based on recommendation from this forum and I think this very thread. Certainly great music and vocals. Lots of romantic ballads, introspection, observation... Definitely someone I'll be listening to more often and recommending too.

I'll have to wait atleast a month before I get my hands on the CD's, damn!

Past their prime, grandfathers of rock? A great album nevertheless full of their hits. Good music and loads of fun...

do people listen to hindi songs (60/70/80s)?
I am a big fan of Kishore, but right now I am listening to "pukarta chala hoon main.." by Mohd Rafi - playing a moserbaer dvd of songs collection.

I too am a big fan of Kishore Da's songs. Listening to Musafir hoon yaaron, Raat Kali ek Khwab mein aayi, Oh mere dil ke chein etc from Kishore Kumar -Legendary collections

right now listening to manzilein apni jagah hain.. Well the details I hear in the song are the first time for me (I have always heard on low end equipment to be honest). Though I have heard it for so many times, and since 1984/ 85 when my father got the cassette for sharabi!
Right now listening to a pair of jbl N38 fs, onkyo 595, played from philips dvdp 5886 - connecting to avr through coax, and avr is in stereo mode.

I think you have reached the stage where you simply should sit back and listen to the music and enjoy as much as you can. Thats the goals of us all and you are lucky to have reached it now, there are some souls who are caught up in the tizzy of upgrading thinking something will sound better without trying to realise to enjoy what they currently have.

Wishing you many more hours of happy listening.

thanks!
I am doing both. Enjoying music while thinking of next upgrade
I think gadgets/ electronics is as potent for a man's mind as porn ;)

Is that really possible?! If so, this would make me a better husband, sensible son and sane colleague. Gosh, that's like a completely personality change - all by just being content.

But I'll pass, somehow I really love my eccentric life of being an audiophile (OR much more of an audio freak/music lover/stereophile - like our mate iaudio mentioned elsewhere)

I hope thats what you are aiming for or have been told to try to achieve as a priority.

While you might love the eccentric way of life, it still is not making you a better a better husband, sensible son and sane colleague. Some of these are social and personal obligations that you need to meet and "eccentric audiophile" unfortunately is not one of them.

To each their own but putting together some thoughts in case you were missing any.

Yes, I believe thats what anyone in this hobby typically tries for. But not because its been told by anyone as a priority - and why would it be?

And so says who? The same people who told how or what to aim in life? If ones relationships appear as obligations, then a severely delayed but much needed cool headed thinking and prioritization is definitely in order.

Nop. I wasn't missing any. But thanks anyways.

Right now listening to Namaste by Karnatrix( wiht JOHN ANTHONY:clapping: on the guitar), its just awesome and so addictive( very relaxing too!).
I am eagerly waiting to get the CD.
