Showcase your audio/video setup here!......

Well my new user name..:yahoo:

Just saw photos,1 query-

Why surr are very low? close to ears?

sorry for the spell spirovious , hope i got it right this time:)

wanted to mount them on the walls , but as these are very heavy they cant be mounted on the boards which i have used for sound proofing , and i hate to drill again:) so the stands ,

the so called recliners:lol: go very low so that takes care of the stand hieght

Hi,

Awesome setup, everything in Red & Black....hmmm......Neat arrangements of devices. If something to say, it is the wire that is coming out from the AC, a little distracting, especially in the pictures because it is white and the background is red& black.

Again, great setup!

Cheers!

Well there is still oneway,
You can prepare(carpenter) a wooden Box platform of desired height(say 1 or 2 ft)& keep (or fix) surr stands on them sothat you can get it above ear level.

Good looking Rack Spiro. Very Nice. Was the new Addition a D-I-Y??
Speakers are not placed in the same Line (The one above your PC Monitor seems to be placed a bit higher), Won't that affect listening?? Where is the center speaker placed and Which stereo amp
is coming Home Spiro-ji:D??

EDIT: You have got a pretty LCD TV :D.

Thanks ,

I paid Rs.2100 for that. The supports(?studs)cost around 1k(total 7 used with customised central as large).

Yes Rt spk is little above, but I have other option to place it in wall unit to get @ same level.I think for music ,spk on PC is good for wide sound & in wall unit for mov :ohyeah:

Centre is placed now behid LCD.I found keeping that way I get depth in sound.Tannoy centre cones are only 10cm & frnt 13cm.My frnts are in shelf & sound heavy as compared to centre. So I placed behind LCD.The tweeter is facing towards seating position(from the gap) & hence no problem.

OK you aresaying abt Zinta & Philips both.:D

+ 1 to that,is it opened back side?

Good question. Yes. It can be opened from read side. Otherwise wiring would be next to impossible. I even have cooling fans but these cannot be used during play time. I use these after watching (like those of a projector). Check these pics.

Well in that case, you can remove those fans & make good ventilation. :)

spirovious sir
I observed in one of you image (1st and 2nd )
( regarding the cable joiner/connector ), i too did the same for analog out from dvd player to receiver
cable connetor in my setup photo
but i am really upset with my arrangement - the sound is very bad, the loudness/quality is almost half of what i hear when compared to pre-out from dvd player.
So now i usually use the pc with optical out.

did you find any diffrence in your setup?

Not a bad suggestion on the first impression - but the dust problem is quite BIG at my place. :(

I saw your picture. I suggest that you buy good quality long cables for your AV setup. The problem may not be just due to joined cables.

Well ,I have made DIY connection for fronts with OFC 16awg cable + MX connector which are directly connected to front in.What you see are centre, surr one. These cables came with Xonar & are better than local one.
I will be upgrading those lator.
I am not using them for DVDp connection.I have connected DVDp to AVR with profigold coax.

You can get better & thicker cables to get good sound.
