Sony W950 / W900 users thread

I wanted to start it long back, but was lazy to do it since not many were having this model. Please change the title to W900A/950A Users Thread.

Btw, just to break the myth many believe that only Sony mobiles can be mirrored in a SonyTV, I am uploading pics of mirroring my Xiaomi MI3 in my 950A

How do i do it in my w850 ?

I don't have w850, but find out the screen mirroring option by pressing home button in your remote. Then select wifi display option in your mobile. The TV name should be available there and connect to it. A prompt will appear in the TV and then you can follow the snaps I had uploaded.

In settings go to product support and software update option

Thanks,I did that.
Now the second question.

After software upgradation my setting had changed,i dont have any idea of wat my previous setting for picture,i tried changing few but it not same as before.

Thanks for sharing those.
Some have i managed to make it appear like before.
One difference i see was most here used to keep colour tem at Warm/Warm1/Warm2.

But mine is in cool and it look good to my eye.

I got this tv some three months back. , i must say this tv is little over priced. Picture quality is above average ,i am using external speakers so never used to use tv speakes.

For how much did you buy the TV ? Even at its MRP of Rs.107k I can strongly say that there is still no other LED HD TV in its league inspite of this TV being a 2013 model. This TV has an outstanding picture quality. If your TV's PQ is just above average, then you really need to check the settings in which you are running the TV or check your video source.

Are you sure you are having 900A/950A or you are referring to 900B/950B

Hi Friends,
Planning to buy a TV, have zeroed down on 50W900B. I do have certain questions, will really appreciate if someone can answer them to make the decision easier.

1) What's the panel type W900B uses? IPS/VA Panel? Somewhere I read that it is "like IPS panel". What does this mean?

2) I have 2 young kids at home (3&4 yrs) , TV place is pre-decided, have custome made cabinet and TV will be wall mounted and at a lower height i.e. accessible to kids . As both of them are boys, at times they hit (with hand) the other LG TV screen. Really apprehensive if they will do to this TV also. what will happen to the screen?

3) PQ is really good but is it okay to watch for kids to see such bright colors?

4) Last but not the least, max distance of my living room is 14 ft (wall to wall). So which screen size should we go for? 42/50 ?
Looking forward to get a reply of my questions.

Thanks,
-Archna
