Suggestions on BIC America F12

It's going to be you only :)

I am still to receive even though it's out for delivery. Also, I have series of calls at work for the day. May be I will set it up tomorrow or on Saturday!:ohyeah:

Please post some pictures and share your joy!!

Maybe you are right and I am very much to listen it delivering the quality bass but I am not sure actually. I reach late night at home. And setting up requires some time.

I will sure post pictures and my initial listening experience as soon as i plug it.

Excellent & Congrats... I too felt the same with the packing. The box is huge and the packing is very great. I called PAH and wanted to personally thank Mr. Sagar but he left for the day.

I am sure the sound quality is going to be immersive and floor shaking!! Amazing product...

Thanks...i am sure you will enjoy the BIC experience....

Its nice.....Either you can use the crossover of the sub or cut it off and rely on the AVR settings.....i did that.....

Dire Straits never sounded so good

I can't wait to unpack and listen to it. I have to wait until the weekend to setup the entire thing:rolleyes:

I am making my own bookshelf speaker stand for my B6s using Teak wood and MDF boards for the base and speaker plates as per the bookshelf speaker stand standards. Once it will be done, I will have a very proper setup.

I have a JBL soundbar and its subwoofer dedicated to music. The 5.1 setup will be dedicated to movies only. :)

Good to know that you could set it up quickly and get its experience. I will mostly post my video in Youtube after I install my setup. I will share the link. :ohyeah:

I am sure forum members who need good subwoofers would be inclined to buy BIC subwoofers after our hearing experience...

Hi Friends,

Finally I unpacked the BIC America F-12 (230 V AC 50 Hz) and did initial setup for testing purpose. I couldn't give the needed time for proper setup due to busy schedule.

I placed the sub in the corner under the dining table(don't know placing it under the table is OK or not). Ran the YPAO setup two times and received W-3 error both the times. It still needs to be diagnosed what W-3 error is. Kindly help for this W-3 error.

Then I did manual setup.

Sub Volume at 4.
Sub Crossover set to full 180Hz.
Sub Phase set to 0 degress
Receiver Type set to Digital 5.1

In AVR I did following settings :

All speakers set to Small
Crossover set to 60 Hz
Sub Level set to 0 dB

Played few songs and few movie scenes and window glasses started to vibrate. This sub is very powerful. I turned the Sub Volume to 2 to control the vibrations.

First impression in a single line - "I have now a beast at home that can shake the walls and needs to be tamed."

I need to spend more time for best setup. Different Sub placement. Different Volume Levels. Different crossover settings.

Few pictures of the sub are attached

Will come up with more details and request you all to guide me about W-3 Error.

Thanks

@Amitnigam
W3 level errors occurs if the volume on the sub is set at 3 and above, expected with this sub since the F12 is quite louder even at volume 3 or 4.
Keep the Sub Volume at 3.
Whats the distance between Sub and Mic?
Place Mic at different position and at ear level when sit on sofa (Min mic distance 4 feet from sub) run calibration again. Best effects noticed when sub is placed when 3-4 feet away from wall to bass port.
