original 1983 USSR pressing in absolutely mint condition

Enjoyed the the vinyls this morning..

For ten long years, I've been searching for an album of Peter Paul Mary, the popular folk group of the 60s. Finally I found it in Calcutta for a throw away price... PPMs wedding song There Is Love, is an all time hit & favorite..

Neil Diamonds Jazz Singer, got it in near mint condition, through there is a slight damage in the cover

Superuna was[still] a anytime album. Nice foot tapping music by Mr. Bappi. Who cares about original Disco hits from which he drew the inspiration, as long as what you hear can entertain you.

'DISCO EXPRESS' is my fav song of this album. The sax? note of this song is amazing.

The funny thing about 'BAPPI DA' is he plagiarized some?:D famous pieces of foreign hit tunes in his time and got away with it. But when a singer ( i don't remember her name) used his?:D tune he sued her and won the case also made a fortune out of it. Does an one remember this incident? Pls correct me if i am wrong.

Haha...that was a funny incident. I will share it. In fact Bappi da has did it not once but twice! One time he has won too!

In 2011, he threatened to sue (or probably sued??) Jennifer Lopez, yes J.Lo. because the opening tune of some song of hers resembled the tune of 'Sochna kya jo bhi' from Ghayal which he 'composed' in 1990. The funny part is that the song 'sochna kya' was itself a plagiarized work!:D Ripped straight from some Brazilian song!

Earlier, in 2003, Bappi Da successfully sued Truth Hurts for the song Truthfully Speaking for borrowing a catchy vocal line from the Hindi song 'Thoda Resham Lagta Hai' sung by Lata Mangeshkar, without credit or royalties.:D

Talk about plagiarism and irony!:D

Yes..

If ever there was a classic case of the pot calling the kettle back, that's Bapilahiris lawsuit against Dr Dre..

I remember in 1972 on my way to collage I heard Led Zepplin's "Immigrant Song" on my return I heard the same song in hindi, I was then told a new composer lived there, soon after "Bombay se aya mere dost" was made with many of our people from (village Chuim khar) made backup singers, the rest is history.

Listening to Nostradamus by Judas Priest. Most Priest fans totally disown this album. Maybe because it a totally un-Priest like album.. but i totally love it!

I also have the same sentiments on the album. In 1980s, Bhupinder had also come out with an album inspired by western hits which I have and like for his voice. It was a tribute to them western hits.

I've not heard this album yet, but why so?

It's not traditional Priest..It's a concept album. It's over 100 minutes long. It's symphonic..lot of orchestral pieces. Very ambitious actually. Sounds very much like a cinema. Grand epic-like album! A band almost 40 years into their career..takes a lot of effort and courage to release something so different. No wonder most fans just hated it.
