Seems like 'AVM Audio' is the only music company that released picture discs in Tamil. Listening to one of those now. The quality is good.

Yes. To the best of my knowledge only two picture discs came in Tamil. Uyarntha Ullam and Kavadi Sindhu. Both LPs released by AVM.

Uyarntha Ullam first sold in black and Picture version released on the occasion of 100rd day celebration.

Last night listening was four Tamil EPs.

1. Kizhakke Pogum Rayil
2. Elamai Oonjaladuthugirathu,
3. Oru Kaithiyin Diary,
4. Poove Poochudava.

Nice to see colored vinyl for a Tamil film music. I have couple of Malayalam treditional music LPs in red colored vinyl from INRECO.

Don McLean.. Ranks top as No.5 in the artist of the century, and was searching his LP for over a decade..

And one day , I saw him in the classifieds here in our forum. Alas, before I could buy, some body pressed the trigger.

Chased the seller, again it was my good friend, and he quickly gave the pointers ..

Interestingly , it happened to be my yet another good & altruistic friend. I buzzed him, but i admit, I was beating around the bush, than expressing my wish to conquer it..

He having smelt the rat, and was to the point with the tone of friendship & sharing, he was opened to gift the entire lot



Then I opened up and whispered him about only one record McLean. But he sent 2 more LPs of my taste . That too made his wife to pack and courier it, for he is stationed across Atlantic. ..

Thank you my friend Reuben.S.M and to your wife, for putting a full stop to my decade long search .. Thank you ..

I had a Self Titled Album of Don McLEAN, which I purchased years back, during a US tour. If my memory is correct, for $7. Your post ignited me. Need to search and find out. Will post the image when I get it.

Altecs (619-8a) with original cones and crossovershyeah: playing " He baba he baba" from 'Manzil Manzil'.

Amplifier is Luxman. The Lp is not cleaned.So the surface noise and distortion. Even with that, the sound is awesome.

Tried with different amplifiers but LUXMAN is driving these beasts well.

A small mishap occurred during playback. Nothing untoward happened.
