What a voice Vani Jairam has. Thanks for reminding me. Will be listening to "Mora sajan" from Pakeezah today.
Yes it is Hiten. Also remember the bottle cork and piping air sound made from half filled bottle that comes as prelude of "O Majhi Re". It clearly proves R.D.Burman's brilliance in sound making apart from astonishing melody and rhythm. You can hear the same sound in Sholay "Mehbooba Mehbooba"

Beautiful composition.. Din Pyar ke aayenge Sajaniya..!Listening to...
The 'title' music of The Burning Train is superb! How do you feel souravin?
It's really superb title music. Unique concept on Indian recording scenario of a train moving from one speaker to another.
LP Side 1 contains the title music. There is a SP containing the title music only which sounds little dynamic. Try that also.
Debasis Mahapatra of Pancham Studios, Bhuvneswar worked on that and an ACD called "The Bullet Train" released a few years back. It sounds excellent too. It's a must buy for bollywood oldies lovers.

Sourav, you mean Super 7 mini LP which contain the title music? On which label "The Bullet Train" was released? Is it now available? I tried on Rhythm House site, but there is no any result. Thank you.
Some of my LPs arrived last week so did some RDB listening over the weekend, for a change:
The Burning Train
The Train
Raja Rani
Sanam Teri Kasam
Zamane Ko Dikhana Hai
Hum Kisse Se Kum Nahi
Love Story
Khel Khel Mein
Bullet
Ishq Ishq Ishq
Hey Sourav, Bullet was purchased new by Dad in the 1970s. Yes, with typical 1970s thriller dialogues. I got The Train and Raja Rani, almost in mint condition as well, as a gift from a very close friend in Trivandrum. It was in a bundle of Bollywood records that he handed me, in near mint condition. Some of the other titles in the pack are Bobby, Awaara, etc. These were purchased new by the original owner and stored away. Khel Khel Mein and Ishq Ishq Ishq were also purchased new by Dad in the 1970s. All the rest are all gifts from my good friend Simon. Dad had the mint version of Hum Kisse Se Kum Nahi, purchased new, and it is in my brother's collection. I prefer the one Simon gifted to me, as it sounds sweeter and each time I listen to it, it has Simon's generous heart stamped all over it. I'll post some pics over the weekend.
This week I plan to dig out Shaan, Aandhi,, Mehbooba and Sholay.
Pressing wise, I would rate The Burning Train, well over the rest. The pressings of Shaan, Zamane Ko Dhikana Hai, Hum Kisse Se Kum Nahi and Sanam Teri Kasam are also quite good. As old an worn as these copies are, they play wonderfully well. Shaan has a small skip on the track by Usha Uthup - Shaan Se but otherwise, very good. When back home, Aandhi sounded pretty ordinary. Have not listened to Sholay yet but I believe its the dialogue disk. Dad's Odeon pressing of Yadhon Ki Baaraat (purchased new) is pretty ordinary and has some awkward mastering which makes the vocals sound like a chorus.
Some other titles in Dad's collection back home are Yaarana (Rajesh Roshan), Des Pardes (Rajesh Roshan), Mere Sanam (O.P. Nayyar), Dil Ne Phir Yaad Kiya (Sonik Omi).
Outside RDB, the pressings of Qurbaani (Biddu/Kalyanji Anandji), Disco Diwanee (Biddu/Zoheb Hussian) and Star (Biddu) are very good ones.
Honestly, I've been inspired to listen to RDB, by you
