Yes, I compared the CD and LP. The LP is significantly better. The difference was more dramatic than what I saw when I did the same exercise for the A.R.Rahman HiFiVision LP.

What a classic!! Like the way Jerry Amaldev is referred to as being from the USA

I have held this record with my hands when I was a small boy and only remember it was a 45 rpm record (like the one you have). Dad used to say that it was a high-quality recording. How is the pressing which you have?

Reuben, very correct. I still use "Manjil Virinja Pookal" as one of the reference LP to test a setup. Good recording. velvet voices and nice music with good instrumentation.

Jerry Amaldev (aged 77), one of my favorite composers and is still considered a evergreen Music Director. He recently composed music for a 2016 Nivin Pauly film "Action Hero Biju", just for one super hit (again)song.

HI Touzeen,

I think you are using the Schiit Vali 2 as a phono pre amp. Am just wondering on the sound quality as Schiit Vali is a tube amp. Please share your thoughts. Am pretty happy with my CNC and NAD phono, also would like to test a tube phono within budget.

Saagar LP. Ensemble cast, impeccable songs and drool worthy Dimple Kapadia made this OST a landmark. Though the muvee didn't do well in box office. Asha B's seductive rendition in Jane Do Na and Lata M's Saagar Kinare sad version were overpowered by the other super hit songs from the same. Music arrangement and the super stereo are worth a mention too.
