Vinyl I am listening to...

After 2 yrs of searching, found my long term favourite Album of Kraftwerk -The Machine....been listening to Robot on repeat mode and even my 7 months old Aarav is loving it and wants the song to be repeated :)

What makes it special is we danced, the Robot Break dance in our school annual day and won first prize :)

Any chance of repeating that. Would love video posted in HFV too. :D

I read this guys were perfectionist to a fault, each and every sound/beat they wanted to be perfect. (After all they were germans). Actually whole album is good and my favourit tracks are 'neon lights' and 'the model'. Hope you have heard 'trans europe express'. Got both albums long time back when started collecting vinyls.
Regards

Hi Hiten,

Their third album Computer World is also a good one.

The Robot break dance is the song Tour de France by Kraftwerk.

@ Ram - Sure will look for it.
@ Murali - Yes I have that too but on cassette. But I don't play cassettes often. Just keeping some cassettes for nostalgia's sake.
Regds.

Hi Hiten & MBR,

if you like Kraftwerk then try, E=MC2 by Giorgio Moroder, you will like this too.

myriad,
Where did you pick up this one from? I have this only on CD. I initially found it overwhelming, but have come to like it a lot. She does great scats.

Hello Steevieboy,
The main intention is to discuss only vinyls here. The reason is to know what good music is available on vinyl and also to know which pressing or which company provide most satisfactory recording.
The ones you have mentioned are quite new to me. I am not atall into rock music so its a good opportunity to educate myself. Last weekend I purchased couple of records and had a wonderful listening experience over the weekend
Deutsche Gramaphone : Richard Strauss, Berliner Philharmoniker
Deutsche Gramaphone : Beethoven, Wilhelm Kempff Piano
Impovisations West meets East Album 3. Amazing album planning to get volume 1 and 2 as well. Yehudi Menuhin, Ravi Shankar
Frank Sinatra Come fly with me
Elvis a Legendary Performer
Sitar Maestro ustaad Vilayat Khan.
I fully agrre with you that the appearance of a vinyl can be deceptive as with this Vilayat Khan it looks perfect no scrath very good recording but it has some manufacturing defect and the stylus keeps on bumping .Have to change it.
I am interested in the Hotel california vinyl. How is the recording???
Thnaks,
Mahiruha.

There is no parallel to vinyl, i deserted the vinyls in 1982 for cassettes then came digital age, i completely forgot the taste of full bodied uncompressed music, now with this grand revival we hope good taste will prevail over bad, thanks for supporting vinyl
