There are no new pressings of the blue or the red albums. There are only the new stereo releases of the individual lps. Did not like them much. Would definitely stick to the UK originals. When it comes to Beatles nothing like the UK originals, be it stereo or mono or compilations. In the Japanese releases i only like the 1982/86 mono reissues. The US releases are quite sad. Not heard the german stuff. I believe a few German releases like MMT are supposedly very good.

Picked up Top Gun OST yesterday from a parsi gentleman.

Jut FYI - He also has a Sansui automatic TT to sell. I have requested him to post the details on this forum. For those interested he also has Abba, Cyndi Lauper, Pet Shop Boys and few other LPs for sale. The one I bought is in a very good condition.

Anyone's bought the 25th Anniversary Michael Jackson Bad (picture) LP? I did. Sound quality sucks real bad. I think my old LP sounds way better.

Spinning Patty Smyth's Never Enough. I think the last time I heard this artist was at least 2 decades ago!

Incidentally, I got my second copy of Dave Brubeck's Time Out yesterday:)

Also waiting for first spins are The Dave Brubeck Quartet's Jazz Impressions of New York (Columbia. Mono), Greatest Hits (Stereo) and Time In (Stereo).

Brought back lots of memories. I too had her self titled album on cassette. I especially liked her duet with Don Henley Sometimes Love Just Ain't Enough - YouTube

Unfortunately, my cassette was stolen!

I would love to get her self titled album on CD or LP.

Jean-Luc Ponty's Enigmatic Ocean.

By the way, newbie question here: who are the other violinists in jazz?

Just now I am listening to "Six Soulful Melodies - Gangubai Hangal", an Indian Classical of 6 raaga. Same time tweaked phono to sound better for vocal by changing one OPAMP.
