More than the music I enjoyed the Politically connected Lyrics of Housemartins...songs... simply touches the heart....

So long I was devoting lot of time to play the LPs. May be because I need not get up after every 3 to 4 mins which is true in case of EPs... But tonight I could hear the whisper of the Poor EPs for not being cared and caressed. So going to play them for few more days...

To start with , I opted to play follwing EPs tonight:
Loaded them in a changer so I that I need not get up frequently....

1. Shirley Bassey - "strange how love can be" and Goldfinger

2. The move - Flowers in the Rain & "(Here We Go Round) the Lemon Tree" -1967

3. Usha Iyer ? Jambalaya Jambalaya/ Green Back Dollar 1968 Her First EP record

4. Tony Orlando and Dawn -i can't believe how much i love you & "Tie a Yellow Ribbon Round the Ole Oak Tree".

That's an excellent idea! I too have plenty of 45's but never spin them on account of laziness I think I too will spin some 45's this weekend.

Another Idea is to play them in a Personal TT (if you have one) like "Sony PS-Q7" or Audio Technica "Sound Burger."

You can just place them near / on your working desk and listen using a ear phone, also changing the discs may not be a big issue.

So is this like the original US LP (with Mermaid smiled instead of Dear God) ?

Just checked it, it's the one with Dear God, so must be a later re-press. Still sounds great! Never quite heard the album sound like this before.

I am listening to the K. J yesudas hits. I have 2 LPs with same songs and both are of EMI, but only difference I can see is one is red color and other is black. Can you guys let me know what is the difference between them

@Anil I did observed some difference while listening compared to normal stereo. its like voice coming from right and music coming from left.

I just checked the first song today. It is sounding with good stereo effects in my system (strings on the right CH, Tabala,chenda/percussion etc comes through the left CH and voice appears to come from the middle)
