Rafi Saab who could not read and write English(as per his son,as I read in a news paper) has done a decent job with the rendering.

2. EP record having two English songs by Biddu and rendered by the band "High Society" for the film Ramu tho diwana hai.
Title : High Society Sings for the film "Ramo tho Diwana hai "
Year: 1980

3. A 1973 STEREO EP Film : Manoranjan. Music R.D. Burman

I've being listening to my Neil Diamond LPs over yesterday and today (in between non-stop christmas music). Here's my Diamond collection:

Ruben, you are missing only one thing out of the Neil Diamond lots.. ie, Jonathan Livingston seagull, a movie track, which racked more revenue than the movie itself....Give it a try.. I cherish that playing late night hours..

Dear Anil,

This English EP (No. 1) by Mohd. Rafi is very rare now.

No. 3 Manoranjan is Super Seven and electronically reprocessed stereo which just killed the quality of great songs. Have heard that there has to be a specific cartridge back in 1972-73 to listen to these electronic processed stereo. I switch on to the mono mode in amplifier to listen these genre.

Yes. Better to state it as " Electronically reprocessed for stereo". Such records if not processed correctly sometimes sounds like changing radio channels.....
Even switching to Mono in an amplifier may not reproduce the original effect.
How ever I found these records somewhat sounding better in a old style TT like Philips 832

How is the ODEON records, I personally find it below par compared with polydor etc.
Also I have the same LP of Soul Makossa, does this music comes under Jazz or any other form?

Today its our wedding anniversary and what is better than spinning the albums which were gifted to each other the day when we first went out.

I was given a Bee Jees album. But the cheesy idiot that I was, and since it wasn't my type of music back then, I went back to the shop and exchanged the album for this ;)

Well, isn't this lovely :) I'm sure both of you would have loved this moment. Brings back so many fond memories. Quite nostalgic as well.

BTW, Happy Anniversary to you both.

Cheers...

Thank you Simon Wires Jee. That was very thoughtful. I dont have this in LP.

I know that gift exchanging thing was unkind. But I draw solace from the fact that Santana LP was a good choice ;) But even now she sometimes rummages around looking for the Bee Jees LP. One of these days I might fess up:cool:
