:sad:Sorry I didn't check EMI option with Hypercity. May be you can call them and find out. I didn't buy any player as of now. Managing with laptop and USB drive.
AV cords are not provided with the box. But you can buy those from any electronics shop and use to connect your normal TV to AVR.

I think that sony is not quite upto the mark when compared to dedicated hifi

I think Sony is best producing displays and players but it's not the best when it comes to producing sound. Better it's left with sound professionals like Denon, Onkyo, Yamaha, Marantz etc. And for the speakers we have bundles of brand. So stay away from mass selling brands like Sony, Samsung, LG etc for HTIB.

Also if you compare the sound quality of Denon, Yamaha And Onkyo with mass selling brands(Sony, LG etc), you'll realize the difference. Go ahead and take the audition of different AVR+speaker combo as well as AVR HTIB and I am sure you'll change your opinion.
